The tables continue to turn in event design. It seems as though every traditional wedding element — aisles, arches, catering, floral, and more — is getting a modern makeover. Wedding tables and reception table arrangements are no exception. You may be thinking “a table is a table” but even the most rigid of event elements contributes to event design. From unique sizes, styles, layouts and more, these event and wedding tables are transforming the way guests wine, dine, and celebrate at events.
Eddie Zaratsian Lifestyle and Design ensured this sunshine-filled Malibu dinner party had a sunny palette to match. Gold and chartreuse furniture — including a mix of banquettes and wire chairs from Taylor Creative Inc. — lined the tables sprawled throughout the lawn of Cielo Farms. These diagonal tables allowed guests to mix and mingle in the open, unobstructed space before sitting down for the meal served by Contemporary Catering and Event Production. These tables also allowed guests to enjoy mountainous Malibu views from all angles. We love how coral florals by Tic-Tock Couture Florals both complement and contrast against the yellow rental hues and lush green setting.
The unique wedding table trend goes international with this romantic u-shaped wedding table nestled in an Italian courtyard. LLG Events transformed Tuscany’s Castello Banfi into a fairytale garden filled with twinkling lights by Alma Project and natural climbing vines. David Kimmel Design created large floral arch structures, which rose over the wedding table. Red and white florals combined with leafy greenery for an enchanting, blossoming design.
PartySlate and YSD Events hosted an exclusive, experiential dinner party for the recent release of Vera Wang’s 2020 Spring/Summer Bridal Collection at the incredible Weylin in Brooklyn. Event Designer Ovando knew impressing a room full of industry professionals would be no easy task, but she and the teams at Smith Party Rentals and Luxe Event Rentals rose to the occasion, creating this extraordinary concentric circle table arrangement. All-white tablescapes were woven through the two circular tables, featuring white flatware, hand-painted fruits supplied by Marcia Selden Catering & Events, and a plethora of glowing white candlesticks, illuminating the large space with a moody glow. This dreamy setting was also the catwalk for Vera Wang models, donning ethereal gowns of light multicolored tulles with floral embellishments. Following the models, trumpeter Spencer Ludwig walked between the tables, serenading guests with his smooth jazz sounds. Guests enjoyed fresh fish dishes and rich flavors from Marcia Selden Catering & Events. Read more about this experiential dinner party here.
When it comes to unique event tables and arrangements, this dinner party — planned by Rabbit, Rabbit Crew! — certainly makes a splash. Centered in the middle of a creek, a 60-person wooden table is framed with rose gold chairs by Forget-Me-Not Rentals from which guests dipped their toes. Allium Floral Design & Event Styling lined the long table with rainbow centerpieces using a variety of florals. Floating above the centerpieces is one of our favorite event details of all time: a raised arch of rainbow ribbons fading from one color to another. View the event to see the creative ways guests used the river in their photos. As if the colorful designs weren’t enough, guests of this experiential dinner party enjoyed music by DJ Brian B and catering by The Pig and Prince and Andre’s Lakeside.
Percy Sales Events created the most cozy-chic atmosphere for this dinner party at Sunstone Vineyard and Winery with a 30-person round table. We love how this table arrangement allows every guest to be seen. Colorful pashminas hung from each chair, which matched the table linens by Luxe Linen and stunning colorful florals. Jaime Sanchez created a two-part centerpiece, with feathery pink, orange, and mustard florals both as the base and towering above the table. Guests enjoyed Santa Ynez vistas and mouth-watering cuisine from Good Gracious! Events.
This Palm Beach wedding was dripping in luxe details, from gold ornate chairs and its rich magenta palette to the custom, reflective dance floor. As the home of South Florida opulence, The Breakers Palm Beach was the perfect venue for this glamorous celebration. Jennifer J Events took a page from the Royal Wedding playbook with its jewel-tone design and over-the-top floral décor. View the event to see the towering letters composed of red roses spelling out a special message. But the detail that impressed us most is the winding wedding tables, running parallel to raised floral centerpieces throughout the ballroom. The Special Event Resource and Design Group created the most dreamy arrangements and bouquets, filled with hydrangeas, roses, orchids, and more. From the outstanding floral colors to the table arrangements and settings, guests were in awe all evening long.
This criss cross, X-shaped wedding table arrangement stopped us in our tracks. Talk about elevating your venue — this wedding table adds such a unique design element and directs the flow of this Washington, D.C. wedding reception. The glamorous ballroom of The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection was illuminated with pink and purple hued uplighting, and bold, patterned projection mapping by Huqa: Live. Guests’ eyes wandered across the luxe venue and table settings capturing every glittering detail Premini Events incorporated, including crystal candelabras, glitzy gold table runners, and lush bouquets of pink and white florals.
This lakeside reception in Dallas featured the most stunning wedding table arrangement in a large U-shape. Branching Out Events used white and green limelight hydrangeas to line the entirety of the wedding table, adding color, dimension, and natural beauty to the rustic wood design. Planners at Tara Wilson Agency modernized the wedding table space by adding lucite chairs. String lights were hung above the reception space which sparkled over the water at the Property on Possum Kingdom Lake venue.
There was a surprise at every turn at this Boulder, Colorado wedding planned by First Look Events. The Lone Hawk Farm venue was an idyllic setting for the organic wedding palette the brides envisioned. This meandering wedding table was filled with wooden and rose gold elements, fig décor, and eucalyptus leaf-centerpieces, all provided by Yonder House. View the full event to see the branded cheese boards by BlackBelly Catering, complete with the wedding date and coordinates of the location — a very memorable personal touch.
Arista Winery — like most vineyards — offers acres and acres of natural gorgeousness from the landscaping to the hilly, scenic vistas. With so much to see and experience at this venue, LVL Weddings & Events knew a regular wedding table arrangement would not do the organic space any justice. LVL designed a seemingly endless wrapping wedding table, which mimics the winding patterns of the vineyard. Vibrant yellow and green floral centerpieces by Hawthorn Flower Studio draw your eye across the entirety of the table and pop against neutral linens in the Napa sunshine.
