5 Unforgettable Baby Showers
Paris, Je T’aime
A Perfect Event’s Debi Lilly joined forces with friend Mickie Tadros to fête the photographer behind Simply by Suzy as she prepared for the arrival of her baby girl. DL Loft was transformed into a Parisian pâtisserie to pay homage to Suzy’s passion for travel. The baby-pink color palette was in full force at the treats station, where Toni Patisserie’s Toni Marie Cox custom confections (think raspberry angel food cakes, hand-painted macarons, Linzer heart cookies, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and woodland critter sugar cookies) were beautifully displayed. The sweetest part of the day? When friends and family lovingly shared words of wisdom for the mama-to-be via the “tip jar!”
Wit & Whimsy
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, CRE8’s Helen Berkun concocted a baby shower that was a sensory-filled stunner. Held at the mother-to-be’s cousin’s home on Chicago’s North Shore, the tea party (where all 55 attendees were required to don chapeaus, Mad Hatter-style!) boasted a Russian samovar tea kettle that had been in the guest-of-honor’s family for more than a century.
Garden Gorgeous
Hope Weis Consulting’s Hope Wasserman Weis was thrilled to celebrate yet another milestone for this mommy-to-be (Weis had planned her wedding!). Hosted at Chicago’s Casino club by the guest of honor’s BFF, this lush, garden-inspired soirée featured gorgeous centerpieces— overflowing with hydrangeas, roses, peonies, viburnums, Dutch parrot tulips, sweet pea, clematis, and flowering branches—crafted by HMR Designs. The nearly 40 guests in attendance nibbled on cupcakes by Cake Chicago that were as artful as they were decadent!
Carnival Chic
With blooms by Fig Floral and linens by BBJ, Once Events’ Kelci Lundrigan put her elegant touch on Dallas watering hole The Woolworth for this baby shower. The carnival-themed party (complete with festive balloons and an elephant motif) was thrown by the mother-to-be’s sister, who welcomed 30 guests that were gifted with adorable goodie bags that included Bodylicious Skin body butter in, fittingly, “A Mother’s Love.”
Chanel Chic
The mommy-to-be’s cousin welcomed 25 guests for a fashion-forward bash at Perennial Virant. CRE8’s Jenna Zielbauer worked her magic to make a bold statement for this brunch, which included everything from tea kettles as flower vases to black and white Vogue printouts and Chanel No. 5 favor bags—details that kept the guest of honor’s style tribe talking, and Instagramming!
