7 Awe-Inspiring Weddings From Top Planners In Dallas
Dallas is known for being home to some pretty incredible events — especially weddings. Between impressive venues and weather that lends itself to outdoor celebrations, it’s no wonder some of the best comes from down South. Of course, these aspirational nuptials wouldn’t be possible without the hard work, dedication and unparalleled creativity of Dallas’s top planners. Whether it’s figuring out how to seamlessly combine a bride and groom’s opposite vision of enchanted garden-meets-modern-day affair or pulling off a Hindu-Catholic ceremony that fuses both traditions, no task is too difficult for these gurus to pull off. So, to help inspire you for your big day, we’re sharing seven gorgeous weddings executed by some of the top planners in Dallas.
About the Planner: As You Wish’s Owner and Lead Planner, Rachel Burt, pairs her extensive background in design and her dedication to detail to plan the wedding or event her clients have always dreamed of. Her professional, yet spunky, personality makes her a favorite of clients and vendors alike. Rachel has planned hundreds of weddings and events nationally and internationally, including many high-profile events such as the Margot Perot Center for Women and Infants’ recent anniversary celebration for the Perot family and the KISS FM wedding with rapper, Coolio. She currently holds the title of Certified Wedding Planner through the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners (AACWP), where she also sits on the board of directors.
About the Wedding: “Planning this Hindu-Catholic fusion wedding was an absolute dream. Working with each family on how to bring in their culture and the traditions of their past while keeping the wedding current and unlike any wedding any of their guests had been to before was so much fun to do. The client allowed me to get really creative — for example, we hung centerpieces over the tables instead of traditional vases and flowers. The groom entered into the ceremony ballroom driving a Lamborghini (you should have seen us carefully fitting a luxury vehicle into a hotel freight elevator!). We even had fireworks inside the ballroom! My advice to a bride or groom: Don’t be afraid to get creative and think out-of-the-box! It’s those details that will create a unique experience for your guests that will make your big day memorable! However, be prepared; with more creativity, comes more challenges. You may have to manage quite a few more logistics, but it’s worth it for the wow factor!”

About the Planner: StarDust Celebrations first opened its wedding planning studio in Uptown Dallas in 1999. After 15 years of experience (presently known as Weddings by StarDust), the company remains dedicated to creating and delivering the very best wedding services for the bride and her family. Now a Certified Master Wedding Planner, lead planner Marsha Ballard French directs a talented team of certified wedding planners and assistants, known for their organization, vendor relation skills, innovative design and planning abilities.
About the Wedding: “Courtney and Dean’s love story was nearly seven years in the making. They gathered a large crowd of family and friends and threw a party of a lifetime. Emerald City kept the jams going all night long, while no design detail was overlooked by Bella Flora. The vision was to create a black and white upscale wedding with gold and blush feminine details. The Ritz-Carlton ballroom was completely transformed into a formal white look with a breathtaking chandelier suspended over the dance floor. To the groom’s delight, a hunting lodge- themed after party was brought to life right inside the hotel – quite literally, a cabin façade was brought inside! Guests partied all night with late-night breakfast food.”

About the Planner: Simple and Chic Events started in 2009 out of the desire to create celebrations for clients that we customized to their lives and their love. Founder Reytheda Jackson is a self-taught, self-educated wedding planner — in fact, her educational background is actually in biology! With that said, she became a student of the craft and interned with other wedding professionals and spent lots of time in the library and online soaking up everything she could about the industry. Jackso has extensive experience with American, South Asian, Ghanian and Nigerian celebrations (to name a few), so it’s safe to say that all her work paid off. In 2014, Jackson founded The Chic Network, a a community that educates wedding vendors and allows them to create lasting professional relationships.
About the Wedding: “In working on this design, the couple wanted their parents to share the spot of honor with them on their wedding day. What better way than to create a statement table that would allow them to be the center of attention! The bride loved pink and we took that and ran with it. Nikki with Angelina’s Florals created the custom linen along with the chair covers and ties. We wanted all the details to point back to the couple down to the orchids we placed at each setting. One floral statement piece was not enough, so we went high and low with the elevated floral centerpiece and the gorgeous cascading floral runner that puddled to the floor on both ends of the table.”

About the Planner: Mary Wright Shah and the Diamond Affairs event team have made elegant weddings their trademark, yet they also understand the importance of personal service and relationship building. Known for their impeccable taste and attention to detail, Shah and her team work closely with their clients to custom design the elements that make dreams a reality.
About the Wedding: “The Vision for Megan and Sean’s wedding was Rustic Elegance, which meant it would be understated and comfortable for their guests. The ceremony and reception took place at a private residence, and due to weather, the ceremony took place in a tent. One tip when planning an outdoor ceremony: you must love your rain plan or plan B, just in case Mother Nature doesn’t agree with your wedding date! The bride’s style was organic and feminine with all white floral textures placed on wood farm tables, and low centerpieces to highlight the wooden lanterns in the ceiling of the tent. To finish the look, we designed a custom Edison bulb chandelier to compliment the head table.”

About the Wedding: “This couple was from Puerto Rico, so they wanted to blend some of their traditions with an American elegant all-white, Christmas wedding — it turned out to be one of the most special weddings I have ever helped plan! It was a very small and intimate wedding (only about 45 people), so the Crescent Club was the perfect venue — and the views of the city were perfect! The party favors were handmade, white Christmas balls from Puerto Rico, and they had some local dancers come in and demonstrate all the cultural dances from Puerto Rico — there was even a full-blown costume party to incorporate the dancing at the end of the night! Bella Flora of Dallas took her vision and ran with it. From the decadent linens and the stunning white peonies to the handmade linens from Puerto Rico to the acrylic ghost chairs, the night was perfect, white, soft and elegant!”

About the Wedding: “Ashley and Shan’s black-tie wedding was held at Marie Gabrielle in Dallas. Considering the outdoor venue was filled with an abundance of trees and lush greenery, it was easy to pull off an enchanted garden themed celebration. Plum tones dominated the table settings, which were accented with various elements of candlelight, lush greens and flowers that complimented the overall color scheme. To add a playful, yet personal element, the groom’s cake was a recreation of the couple’s dog, who managed to a part of the festivities.”

About the Planner: Caroline Fair has been involved in the staging of luxury weddings and events with budgets ranging from modest to millions. Her fastidious planning skills, relationships with premier venues and vendors and experience coordinating event installation and execution is what has positioned her as one of the most recognized planners in the Dallas area.
About the Wedding: “Have you ever dreamed of having a secret garden reception amidst skyscrapers in the heart of your city’s downtown? The bride, Lindsey, wanted her wedding reception to feel like an ethereal enchanted forest, while the groom, Andrew, desired a more modern and clean design. The Nasher Sculpture Center was the perfect melding of each of their visions. Located in the midst of Dallas skyscrapers, the green oasis is juxtaposed with contemporary sculptures throughout. Bella Flora decked out each table with large tree-like centerpieces, softened with fluttery white flowers. Cafe string lights added a romantic warmth for dining and dancing.
