A baby shower provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate the mother-and-fathers to be, while helping fashion the baby with necessities and love. From the cuisine to unique and personal decor, these baby shower ideas will inspire your next celebration.
The husband of the mama-to-be has always called her “Miss,” so he calls the baby “Little Miss,” which proved to be the perfect inspiration for this baby shower theme. This charming Chicago baby shower held at Brique was the perfect combination of cheerful, bright and approachable. Wrap It Up Parties worked with Revel Decor to create a bright pink, yellow and orange color palette mixed with cascading greenery and gold modern prisms. These elements complimented the wood farm tables, white metal chairs, and airy space in Brique. Boutique Bites created a fun and delicious menu, including tasty mocktails and cocktails titled “Baby Bump” and “Little Miss.” Elysia Root Cakes designed a beautiful watercolor and geometric cake to make this the sweetest of soirees.
This fun-filled baby shower, executed by Kate & Company, not only celebrated the addition of a family member but also left guests on a sugar high! The creative baby shower ideas started with the interactive spinner invitation from Cheree Berry Paper, and Nicolle’s crazy cravings themed baby shower was a blast for all. Guests were asked to choose whether the baby-to-be was a girl or boy – cue the pickles [boy!] or ice cream [girl!] necklaces. Custom libations like a Mom-osa bar and bloody Mary’s kicked the morning off on the right foot. We loved the incorporation of cravings like cheesecake + olive coasters, or make your own sundae. Guests even had the opportunity to guess Baby Peanut’s mood with a spinner game to win prizes – needless to say, most people got to take home a little champagne when they hit “happy baby!”
This baby shower was coordinated by Christine Janda with Truffleberry Market Catering. They did a fantastic job collaborating to customize a whimsical “elephants and umbrellas” experience for this spring baby shower at Creativo Loft in Chicago. The teal blue, spring green, and lemon yellow color scheme was perfectly executed across all mediums – flowers, linens, printed items, candles and even the vintage china. Truffleberry Market executed baby shower ideas by creating three fantastic food stations, an infused water bar and imaginative presentations for passed hors d’oeuvres. The charcuterie station featured wood wine crates for the display of assorted salumi, imported cheeses, gourmet pate and a build-your-own lox and bagels bar. The passed hors d’ouvres creations included bon bon spoon bites displayed with mini slate antique frames and chicken wraps tied to parasol umbrellas like rain drops. For the main buffet, a rustic foodie-chic display was created with bronze stands, bricks, and copper cookware for the custom menu featuring lemon chicken and grilled vegetable bundles. The sweets table with the amazing floral board for the salted caramel donuts, and the unique creamy lemon treats were a huge hit. The lush floral work and custom made decorations were exquisitely on display throughout the loft. From the welcome trunk with mint julep cocktails in glass baby bottles to the macaroon cookies in mason jars on the guest tables, every corner of the venue was filled with custom elements.
With no pressing theme, Southern event planner, Christopher Confero used a hot air balloon as inspiration for the baby shower ideas, with a soft, feminine palette. The entry was designed to feel as if you were walking into the hot air balloon and being taken up by a whirlwind into the sky. So the draping in the entry was pink with all the organic garlands of balloons accented with flowers. The ballroom was draped in white to give the feeling of floating in the clouds, leaving guests on cloud nine. Above the guest seating tables, chandeliers dangled amongst custom-made clouds to really convey the feeling of being up in the air. All custom linens and adorable tutu chair skirts were made by I Do Linens. Everything was pink – pink linens, pink food, pink aprons… this soiree was celebrating a fit for a baby girl.
A “Secret Garden” themed baby shower was the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of a baby girl! Guests received invitations in a lovely garden box to set the theme for the luncheon. With the amazing work of Hope Weis Consulting and HMR Designs, the dining room took on an aura of a secret grove of springtime florals. Lifted white pedestals boasted a dense collection of green hydrangea, soft mauve and ivory roses, white peonies, puffs of green viburnum, green & white Dutch parrot tulips, lavender sweet pea, long vines of lavender clematis, and flowering branches placed on cutwork lace overlays. Playing off of the baby shower ideas and themes, each table setting was accented with an antique key with the guests name tied with ribbons as a place card. The gift table featured a magical secret grove of green hydrangea and green viburnum, pale mauve and ivory roses, white majolica roses, white peonies, lavender stock, with trickling vines of lavender clematis blossoms, and blooming cherry branch – all cascading from a bird bath focal and resting on a tabletop of fresh spring grass, with whimsical moss spheres touched in here and there.
When mother-to-be loves Paris, and has a bouncing new baby girl is on the way – you celebrate with a Pink Patisserie Party! Chicago’s DL Loft was filled with sweet, petite styles to welcome the sweet baby girl. Balloons covered the ceiling, with photos of the mother and father-to-be tied to each string. Cotton candy champagne cocktails lined the bar, and all of mama’s pregnancy cravings were set atop the tasting bar: hard boiled egg chopped salad, shrimp toast, thai chicken salad cups, endive salad and more. Toni Patisserie designed mini sweets in every shape and flavor: freeze dried raspberry angel food cakes, rose petal petit four, ombre dipped strawberries, and more. From the whimsical treats to the personal touches, this Parisian baby shower soiree celebrated the new baby girl in style.
This soft and charming baby shower, celebrating the arrival of baby Sage, was held on a beautiful Spring day in the Bridgeview Room at the Trump Hotel & Tower Chicago. The theme was all about white feathers, angel wings and rose gold tones. Pastry Chef Evan Sheridan created a custom white feather cake with a Tahitian vanilla-berry flavors. The shower games were one of the highlights of this delightful soiree, as those who won the games received a Dior gift set. The entire afternoon (& into the evening) was accompanied by a DJ to keep the party going. The baby shower was all about having fun and celebrating the arrival of Sage – and as all of the guests did just that!
