Boasting an average of 266 days of sun per year — more than its fair share of picture perfect weather — San Diego offers the opportunity for outdoor celebrations without (most of) the stress. We’ve looked through some of the most breathtaking San Diego wedding venues to narrow it down to perfectly-located, view-rich spots for your nuptials. Whether you want a private beach wedding, a lawn wedding or a modern-styled celebration, sunny San Diego has a lot to offer for your special day.
From your “I dos” to the champagne toast, no moment at The US Grant will be short of exquisite. Besides being a local landmark, The US Grant is near some of the most beloved Gaslamp Quarter attractions such as the San Diego Zoo and Petco Park. As you move inside, passing the grand fountain, The US Grant’s four event spaces offer something for everyone. The Bivouac Ballroom boasts dramatic arched ceilings while the Presidential Ballroom houses ornate columns and classic black-and-white checkered floors. We love how this couple created such a dreamy San Diego wedding with suspended florals and glowing candles, making their large ballroom space more intimate.

The Fairmont Grand Del Mar is fit for couples craving European flair. This San Diego resort feels like a Mediterranean estate overlooking Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve. Couples are offered so many unique photo ops with the resort’s beautiful fountain, stained glass windows, and grand archways. The balcony spaces are equally as majestic. With 14 event spaces to choose from, each event of your wedding weekend can boast its own flavor. The Wine Rooms are perfect for a romantic rehearsal dinner and the Area Lawn seems custom-made for an exchange of vows. Multiple ballrooms serve as beautiful reception spots.

The Andaz is centrally located in San Diego and offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for romantics. We love how couples transform the hotel’s rooftop with florals and décor set against the stunning view. Book the full rooftop for a large ceremony or simply arrange for the east or west (which has a retractable roof) for a more intimate celebration. Enjoy shade from palm trees and gorgeous city backdrops as you share your special day with your closest friends and families. See how this couple utilized the rooftop space to create an intimate setting, filling the space with a luxe, long table for guests to sit together under a star-filled sky.

This San Diego wedding venue can pull out all the stops — from fireworks to skydiving to big bands who will make your wedding and reception go unparalleled. We love how the Paseo Lawn sprawls across the exterior of the venue and the way the exquisite ballroom offers stunning ocean views. Both the Pacific and the Spanish-style, red-roofed resort serve as gorgeous backdrops.

Within its vast Mediterranean quarters, Rancho Valencia offers several spaces to host the most memorable of events. Its fountain and pristine lawn are lovely, but what stands out to us most is the spectacular floral arrangements spread throughout the venue. In nearly every space, there are unique floral displays such as beautiful rose gardens overlooking olive groves for your nature-inspired ceremony. We love the way this couple beautifully made use of the outdoor space, creating a glam lounge area and dreamy draped tent allowing guests to enjoy the spot’s beautiful weather. They also have The Sun Room & Terrace which is filled with white roses climbing up the bleached wood trellis allowing for stunning wedding photos. Additionally, The Croquet Lawn can seat up to 500 guests amongst the hibiscus and bougainvillea.
