Curious George Gender Reveal Party
These happy parents-to-be satisfied their guests’ curiosity with this “Curious George, Aren’t You Curious” gender reveal party. Held at the Marina del Rey Hotel, the expecting parents wanted to celebrate this exciting news surrounded by friends and family. Flawlessly executed by Ilana Ashley Events and La Petite Gardenia, and captured by Brian Leahy Photography, this whimsical soiree had guests curious from the minute they arrived. Upon arrival, partygoers were greeted by a balloon path, leading them to the celebration area.
The space was filled with yellow and green decor, to ensure that the surprise was not given away with hints of pink and blue. The themed celebration was filled with Curious George stuffed animals, books and playful quotes such as “Thank you for swinging by!” Yellow florals topped the tables and created a bright and lively environment for guests to mix and mingle. Other touches such as bunches of bananas and Curious George branding followed the theme to a tee.
Guests of all ages were constantly entertained with the various stations throughout the room. At the kite station, guests could guess the baby’s gender and decorate their own kites and hang it on a hedge where all guesses were displayed. Honoring a future milestone, guests wrote letters to the baby that would be given to the child at his/her bar or bat mitzvah. The little touches throughout the celebration made for exciting surprises for the baby to enjoy later in life.
The kids could “monkey around” with Curious George toys and books while the adults enjoyed the festive libation station. This morning celebration was filled with fabulous fare such as a nosh station, chicken and waffles, mac and cheese, sea salt fries and much more. But of course, it is never too early for guests to indulge in a dessert or two. The sugar, spice, and everything nice dessert cart was adorned with daisies and banana bunches, and filled with blue and pink cake pops. Finally, a banana station allowed guests to dip and decorate their own bananas.
Finally, there was an amazing 60 pound Curious George cake to reveal the baby’s gender. The parents and guests went bananas when the cake was cut and everyone saw pink! These parents-to-be fulfilled their family and friend’s curiosity at this perfectly planned Curious George gender reveal.
