We like Southern California for these types of gatherings because of its reliably good weather which means fewer airport delays and greater choices for outdoor event spaces. We chose these spots for their ease and their ability to host meetings and events of all sizes — from board meetings and team-building breakouts to award presentations and blow-out bashes.
JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT/ORANGE COUNTY
This SoCal Hilton is conveniently located between LA and San Diego, a mere two miles from John Wayne Airport and walking distance to South Coast Plaza premier shopping and dining. But it has more to offer than space to sleep. With the largest number of indoor and outdoor event spaces in Costa Mesa (15 spaces totaling 48,000 square feet), the options for event hosts are endless. The large spaces are customizable and can be transformed into smaller meeting and breakout rooms. We particularly love The Pacific Ballroom space, which can accommodate large-scale conventions or company award presentations. Guests will love the delicious food provided by expert staff, the modern hotel conveniences, and the plentiful outdoor spaces that offer the promise of relaxation between meetings.
Pacific Ballroom Capacity: up to 1200
As the closest hotel to the OC Airport, the Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport is the ideal spot to host a meeting or event for out-of-town employees. Attendees will feel relaxed after a long day of travel when they hop off the plane and can be at their destination within five minutes via free shuttle. With help from an experienced staff, this Hilton can accommodate events of all sorts including large corporate gatherings and conferences as well as more intimate meetings in their 23 indoor and outdoor meeting spaces. There are multiple flexible meeting spaces, all located on the lobby level. The Crystal Ballroom, in particular, is an outstanding spot for hosting memorable large-scale events.

Located in the heart of Santa Ana’s Orange County’s South Coast Metro Business Center, this incredible DoubleTree hotel is the premier spot to host everything from a conference in the California Ballroom to a cocktail party at the onsite Bistro restaurant. LOS ANGELES AIRPORT (LAX)
H Hotel Los Angeles offers three incredible spaces in which to host intimate meetings and events. Guests will love the renovated guest rooms during their stay as well as the hotel’s proximity to the LAX airport; it will simplify their travel day.
