May Wedding Colors: Think Pink

This Chicago wedding got a boost from budding florals and a renewed energy brought by May’s spring weather. The ethereal event combined soft pink hues with burnished gold accents, all set in the gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces of Galleria Marchetti. Galleria Marchetti also provided the catering, which included passed hors d’oeuvres and a decadent Italian dinner menu. White bamboo dining chairs and small, decorative bird cages capped with pink-tipped white roses added vintage charm to the affair, and guests enjoyed a classic, white four-tiered cake topped with pink peonies for dessert.

The fabulous Tribeca Rooftop served as the perfect backdrop for this May wedding in New York City. Posh party planners NYLUX Events took a spring color scheme to the next level, featuring fuchsia, blush, and purple accents throughout the venue. Floral artistry by Sterling Fell covered the room, and included a ceremonial archway made of light pink cherry blossom branches, and arrangements composed of verdant green hydrangea, dark pink wild roses, and purple orchids.  An intricate wall of delicate paper flowers in the same hues was created for photo ops, which Gruber Photographers featured in photos of the happy couple and their delighted guests.

Held at the architecturally-impressive Chicago History Museum, these beautiful May nuptials took place outdoors overlooking Lincoln Park, with the reception and dancing inside. Wrap It Up Parties planned an elegant evening to match the classic setting of this historic venue. Soft florals popped against the steel blue table linens and posies were arranged by Life In Bloom, featuring pink and white peonies among magenta and cream roses. Succulents artfully placed in delicate cups were a delightful detail, as were the green sprigs of thyme tucked into each folded white napkin. Cristina G Photography captured the gorgeous scene.

A lovely late spring fling was arranged for this fabulous couple, thanks to detailed planning by NSPIREDXPRESSIONS Events in Rosemont, IL. Set in an impressive venue, The Estate by Gene & Georgetti, the decor and floral team from Fragrant Design executed a flawless jewel-toned theme. Oversized fuschia, pink, and blush peonies popped against sapphire blue and coral table linens. The bride and groom sipped champagne at a private table covered in a shimmering rose gold tablecloth and lit by candles in cut-glass votives. Elysian Root Cakes created an elegant four-tiered wedding cake, covered in pink posies. BM Photography caught all the action on camera for memories that will last a lifetime.

This chic wedding was set at the wow-worthy Ebell of Los Angeles. The venue provided a luxe wood-paneled spot with a statement-making staircase for the bride’s dramatic entrance. Best Day Ever planned the event in concert with designer Immersive Cult for an ceremony and reception that somehow felt bohemian and glamorous all at once with outdoor lounge spots featuring Moroccan floor pillows and colorful throws. Sachi Rose Design added indoor florals flanking the stairs and hanging from chandeliers as well as adorning the ceremonial arch — all in shades of pink and red with tiny accents of yellow. The all-white wedding cake from Fantasy Frostings was set (literally) on a pedestal. Wild Whim Design & Photography captured creative and gorgeous shots of the event, including one of the backs of two sweet flower girls as they make their way down the aisle.

This colorful couple envisioned a bright and bold scene on their special day, delivered to them by party planner Clementine Custom Events. A beautiful day for a May wedding, the event took place throughout the Chicago Botanic Garden’s lush outdoor spaces. But Life In Bloom florist was not to be outdone by the natural seeing, and added gorgeously eye-catching floral arrangements for the affair. These included Coral Charm and lilac peonies, yellow hyacinth, fuchsia and white roses. The bridesmaids wore peachy-pink, full length gowns, and Emilia Jane Photography captured all the color and joy of this memorable occasion.

This happy couple chose an intimate gathering for their big day, held in a cozy space at the Racquet Club of Chicago. Wrap It Up Parties chose a tasteful setting of champagne linens and soft candlelight to showcase gorgeous May wedding florals that invoked the fresh spring season. Hello Darling took care of decor and flower arrangements, creating lush bouquets of pink peonies, blush roses, and white lilies. James Currie Photography snapped pics of the luxe event. Lucky guests were treated to an impressive sweets table full of chocolate chip cookies, truffles, and lemon meringue tartlets.  

The unique, architecturally-significant space of Cafe Brauer set at the edge of Chicago’s famous Lincoln Park Zoo was chosen as the ideal venue for this gorgeous May wedding. The landmark building features a seasonal patio, which looked breathtaking adorned with twinkle lights and bistro tables covered in white linens. Cattura Weddings photographed every angle of the tasteful affair, and Blue Plate Catering delivered delicious bites. Bouquets designed by Ashland Addison Floral and Event Decor featured fuchsia roses and magenta peonies, which beautifully accented the bridesmaids’ pale blush dresses.  The bride’s bouquet was kept simple with all white posies.

This hip May wedding featured the ultimate in L.A. style, taking place beachside at the fabulous Bel-Air Bay Club. Photographer Heather Kincaid had no shortage of gorgeous subjects, including a bevy of beautiful bridesmaids dressed in alternating blush and pink hues. Florals by Wisteria Lane included a classic wedding arch covered in pink hydrangea and white hyacinth, which overlooked the ocean and palm trees. Dining tables were covered in white linens and set with gold plates and cutlery, thanks to La Tavola Fine Linen, and decorative details like seashells and sea stars added a playful element to the scene.

A high-brow affair held at the historic Newberry Library in downtown Chicago was ideal for this book-loving couple! This May wedding to remember featured spring florals from Avant Gardenia, including giant Coral Charm peonies placed throughout the venue and posies peeking out of vintage library card cabinets. The bride’s rounded bouquet was created from cream, peach and blush flowers, while the bridesmaids’ complimenting bouquets each boasted a large boldly-hued peony. The dining room’s parquet floors were an elegant foundation for tables set with sterling linens, tall pedestal floral arrangements and tiered hurricane candle holders.

This city chic spring wedding held in downtown Chicago had all the makings of a classic good time! Citygirl Events planned these fabulous May nuptials, held in the prestigious University Club of Chicago. Unique florals by Pistil & Vine featured a bridal bouquet of blush roses accented by a saucy purple succulent, and centerpieces composed of light green hydrangeas, white roses, and dark green foliage. Erin Hoyt Photography took advantage of the city’s bustling backdrop, including a magnificent shot of the newlyweds on the sidewalk in front of an oversized pink flamingo painted on the wall.
