PartySlate Gathers Top Event Professionals for an Evening of Green & Gold Glamour in San Francisco

On Thursday, May 12, hundreds of the event industry’s top professionals gathered in San Francisco to network and toast to PartySlate’s rapid growth and newest features. An elevated brand celebration requires a luxurious venue, and the iconic The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco was the perfect spot for entertaining the industry’s elite.

Amrit Dhillon-Bains of Anais Event Planning & Design planned the design and décor with Edgar Martinez of Flowers by Edgar to curate a truly spellbinding celebration that the community will be talking about for a long time. The teams created a one-of-a-kind vision of greenery and gold with luxurious custom details that wowed the seasoned professionals in attendance.

A Glimpse of the Evening to Come

Guests were invited to PartySlate’s San Francisco soirée via a luxe digital invitation, custom-designed for the gathering by Atelier Azure. The print and invitation designer evoked the glamour of the gathering with a rich green background, flourishes of gold filigree, and soft-pink peonies. The stunning design was replicated on the party’s custom dance floor, tying all of the design elements together. The team also created the party’s printed materials directing guests and honoring event partners.

Design & Décor: Glamorous Gold & Garden Greenery

Guests arrived at the celebration to discover a lush wonderland set in The Ritz-Carlton’s beautiful outdoor terrace. The Anais Event Planning & Design and Flowers by Edgar teams conjured a magical entrance moment with strings of flowers hanging from trees intermingled with chandeliers drenched in crystals. These lavish elements shone against a backdrop of rich greenery and white florals with gilded mirrors reflecting and doubling the enchanting setting. 

The dreamy scene was made complete with PartySlate branding — making it a perfect welcome (and photo opportunity) for partygoers. Tables clad in rich green linen from BBJ La Tavola Linen and gorgeous velvet and gold lounge areas from The Copper Rose provided spots for guests to connect and catch up with each other, as well as make new friends.

Forest-green drapery by Fine Linen Creation obscured the rest of the setting from view, turning more design moments into a surprise. The same Flowers by Edgar team that turned the Ritz’s terrace into a secret garden, reimagined the luxe venue’s tented space as well. After garden cocktails and pictures on the verdant terrace, guests wound their way into the tent.

One of the tent’s beautiful focal points was a unique arch from BooVara Designs, which featured alabaster filigree and more PartySlate branding. Partygoers danced the night away on a central custom dance floor printed by Fine Linen Creation with a gold and floral design created by Atelier Azure. The Fine Linen team also provided large signage honoring our partners. 

The tent itself was draped on all sides with a deep green linen with its ceiling highlighted with white draping, lending the whole affair a feeling of seclusion inside the bustling city.

Memorable Menu: A Taste of San Francisco

The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, in addition to providing a truly stunning space for the celebration, also catered the affair. Their “Streets of San Francisco”-themed fare wowed with vibrant flavors and creative service and displays. The hotel also set up beautiful bars to serve curated cocktails: Partyslate Passion (featuring gin, green chartreuse, Luxardo liqueur, and lime) and Green With Event Envy (with mezcal, cilantro, lime, and simple syrup)

Guests enjoyed a truly beautiful (and endlessly photographable) table-long charcuterie spread, as well as passed bites. Servers brought out Fisherman’s Wharf-inspired fresh seafood, including beautifully-prepared nigiri and maki as well as heaps of crab claws — all a nod to San Francisco’s bayside location. 

In honor of Ghirardelli Square, The Ritz-Carlton culinary team conjured an epic dessert spread with vanilla-chocolate cream puffs, dark chocolate cherry bouchons, perfectly-portioned spoons of white chocolate crème brûlée, and more.

Entertainment: Vibe-Setting Music, Live Opera & Photobooth Fun

The best celebrations have a festive aesthetic that is underscored by music. Luckily, Wicked Entertainment provided a top DJ to create the perfect vibe. The team also managed additional sound and lighting which also contributed to the lighthearted ambiance. Meanwhile, Encore Global made the entertainment pop with their production and a/v work as well as a screen that lauded our event partners.

The event’s music wasn’t the only entertainment moment. Catalyst Arts Entertainment wowed with interactive performances. Their opera singer (on stilts no less!) had guests gathered around for a live performance that literally towered over the celebration. Meanwhile, another of Catalyst’s entertainers donned a skirt filled with Champagne glasses to serve guests in a unique way.

Guests also enjoyed another interactive moment at Chroma Photobooth’s creative take on a photobooth. Their “glam booth” offered guests flawless black-and-white images in popular “Kim Kardashian-style.” Partygoers were delighted with their take-home pictures — printed on thin silver metal sheets. Additionally, the Chroma team provided an easy digital selfie booth (that required no on-site operator) for guests to capture themselves against our signature PartySlate-branded backdrop.

All of Memories Made (& Captured)

This was an evening worth remembering and the skilled team at Arrowood Photography & Cinema captured the soirée in both still and moving images. They shot gorgeous candid pictures of guests interacting and having fun, as well as of the breathtaking scene. The team also recorded the celebration both on the ground as well as from overhead and their video will also remind us of our good times in San Francisco.
