PartySlate was thrilled to launch in America’s most in-demand wedding destination — the gorgeous southern city of Charleston. In June, the city’s top event professionals gathered to féte the brand at luxury raw space The Cedar Room. Gregory Blake Sams Events transformed the flexible spot into an avant garde garden with vibrant greenery, white florals, and organic grass details in unexpected spots like the DJ booth flooring.
The production team at Loluma worked with the floral artists at Vero Designs to fully realize the vision with wicker lamp shades, patterned linens, and magical illuminated globes clustered on the floor of the glamorous lounge areas. The already shabby-chic space’s exposed brick with faded white paint, pillars, and high wood beamed ceilings was the perfect backdrop for the stylish white and gray palette. Snyder Event Rentals provided luxe, modern all-white seating tables to round out the contemporary vibe.
Guests enjoyed passed bites like avocado gazpacho and Stoney Farm’s deviled eggs. Towering white wooden structures framed more food areas, differentiating between the delectable offerings from Mercantile and Mash. At the center, a grazing table featured a massive charcuterie and crudite spread, while other stations featured an iconic low-country boil and carved flank steak. Guests finished off the feast with treats like strawberry shortcake dessert shots and banana and coconut mini tarts. Coordinated signage from Mac and Murphy let party-goers in on exactly what they were dining on.
Between toasting honeysuckle tequila cocktails and Champagne, guests enjoyed tunes from Kiral Artist’s engaging DJ who mixed beats accompanied by live drums and violins from a massive stage emblazoned with striking PartySlate branding. Technical Event Company ensured that everything from the lighting to the sound were reliable at the perfect pitch for the evening celebration. A mirrored performer danced alongside guests, adding an extra element of surprise and fun.
In addition, to music a modern ballerina from Elevate entertainment danced throughout the entirety of the event on a once-blank canvas; she added varied colors as she danced, creating a an act of performance art that resulted in literal art in the form of a human body-painted mural. Anne Rhett Photography beautiful captured the canvas, the beautiful party space, and guests enjoying friends new and old.
PartySlate co-founder and CEO, Julie Roth Novack, welcomed guests and offered a demo of PartySlate.com, showing the event professionals in attendance how to promote their work by setting up a free profile on the site. Event professionals can use these profiles to build photo-rich portfolios to share with consumers. They can also benefit from the platform’s crediting system, which handily links those professionals who worked on each event.
