PartySlate Launches in New Orleans with an Aprés-Ski Themed Celebration that Draws the Top in the Event Industry

PartySlate — a platform devoted to helping people who are planning events find venues, build their event teams, and get inspired by real celebrations — continued its expansion with a beautifully-appointed celebration in New Orleans on January 29. The southern locale marks PartySlate’s 17th city launch and is indicative of the widening reach of the leading event resource. In a nod to the dramatic seasonal changes in other parts of the country, the New Orleans soirée boasted wonderful winter theming.

The team of planners at Sapphire Events said, “New Orleans natives like to go somewhere cold for a visit in the winter, to ski and just enjoy the change of season. We wanted to bring that same vibe here with a luxurious aprés-ski-themed celebration.” The creative team curated a party that brought guests into the Southern Hotel’s open-air, brick-lined courtyard, as reimagined in chic mountain-style. The quaint spot was decked out in PartySlate-branded lanterns, twinkling string lights, and dreamy candles flanking the picturesque fountain, thanks to the talented team at Luminous Events

From there, party guests ambled through several spaces — including a ballroom and atrium, each decked out in snow-perfect décor. We loved every little touch of velvet in deep jewel tones — the rich table linen from Nuage Designs and the luxe lounge areas from Lovegood Wedding + Event Rentals — which furthered the glam lodge vibe at every turn. On the tables, the theming was carried through with richly-hued blooms and inspired touches like feathers and antlers from the renowned group at Herbivore Floral Designs

Partygoers roamed the event, plucking glasses from the Veuve Clicquot Champagne wall (also constructed by the team at Luminous Events), getting their pictures snapped in front of a PartySlate backdrop and seeing their own selfies printed by SIPMI on custom cocktails from The Grand Bevy. Wonderfully-appointed bars operated by Southern Hotel featured creative sips and friendly service consistent with true southern hospitality.

Oxlot 9, the hotel’s onsite seafood-centric restaurant, provided inspired and delicious fare. Guests loved the live gnocchi station in the courtyard, as well as ski resort-inspired bites like sliced caribou club steak, bison sliders, winter salad, and a show-stopping raw bar.

At any celebration, music is key to curating the right vibe, whether it’s dance floor-filling or the perfect soundtrack for cocktails. At PartySlate’s New Orleans launch (like many before it), Jordan Kahn and the Jordan Kahn Orchestra rocked the Southern Hotel’s ballroom with a performance that included a funky brass section, which joined guests on the floor and had everyone asking for the band’s name. The stage from Southern Hospitality Event Rentals featured another beautiful branding touch: “PartySlate” spelled out in tall marquee letters from Alpha-Lit New Orleans, further reminding guests of the party’s purpose.

Paul Morse Photography — photographer to presidents and other notable U.S. figures — beautifully captured the celebration from beginning to sweet end, while Studio Vieux Carre gathered video that perfectly evoked the festive mood of the party. At evening’s end, New Orleans city-bound guests boarded luxury transport, provided by MC&A and American Luxury Limousine

PartySlate will continue its growth in 2020 with planned launches in Orlando and Las Vegas, as well as members-only gatherings and consumer branding events throughout the country. The platform allows party hosts to browse by event type, location, and more, and boasts lists of recommendations and inspirational feature articles to further guide hosts toward their perfect celebration. With more than 650,000 event photos and 10,000 event professionals and venues to choose from, there’s no slowing down PartySlate’s continued expansion .
