PartySlate’s Poolside Palm Beach Launch Party Wowed Guests with Floating Florals, Synchronized Swimmers and Curated Cocktails

Event Planner: Posh Parties | Design & Floral: Renny & Reed | Venue: Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach | Photographer: Jessica Bordner

On November 28, PartySlate hosted an exclusive launch party at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach — introducing PartySlate to South Florida event professionals and re-introducing the newly-renovated stunning Four Seasons property. More than 300 tastemakers, influencers, top event planners, event designers, and more gathered at the chic poolside soirée.

Guests celebrated PartySlate’s continued rise to become the go-to resource for event inspiration, beautiful venues, and top local event professionals. From weddings and galas to Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations and corporate parties, the platform has quickly amassed more than 350,000 photos from event professionals in 43 states and 15 countries.

The invitations for the celebration, designed by Alpine Creative Group, set an elevated tone with rose gold print and edges and art that resembled marbled waves crashing. The teal and blush palette was incorporated into the stylish celebration, planned by the expert event teams at Posh Parties and Four Seasons.

The party’s unexpected décor from the designers at Renny & Reed delighted guests. Innovative touches included a boat floating gorgeous florals in the pool and “PartySlate” spelled out in colorful blooms and succulents against a weathered wood backdrop as a beautiful brand display. Vases and pottery filled with peach, pink, and ivory flowers paired with lush greenery on tabletops and a vintage wooden cart offered pops of color throughout. Guests relaxed in plush lounge areas from Unearthed Rentals, cozying into blush velvet seating with vibrant palm leaf printed pillows.

In addition to providing the luxe locale, the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach crafted a delectable menu of passed bites and reception-style fare. Hors d’oeuvres like Maine lobster tostadas and Kumamoto oysters and pearls boasted bright flavors. At a perfectly-composed crudo and stone crab bar, partygoers feasted their eyes on frozen art from Sculptured Ice and partook in delights like East Coast Bay scallop ceviche and local yellowtail and snapper crudo. The state was well-represented with sophisticated fare that included Florida stone crab salad and Key West pink shrimp cocktail.

Elements of the menu by Four Seasons Executive Chef Jose Gamez — and the locale — were beautifully woven into the décor in the form of citrus trees, tabletop piles of shiny citrus, and even edible pieces like mini pastry oranges. FROST Florida highlighted the designs, and the entire scene, with a party-perfect lighting scheme that included illuminating uplighting, ambient bistro lights over the pool, and revolving lights that offered a festive feel.

As guests connected with each other and roamed the event, several stations offered opportunities for artistic interaction. Calligraphy artist, Carla Hagan, scripted guest names in PartySlate gold onto transparent tiles for a fun keepsake. Guests could also watch Lydia Marie Elizabeth paint several versions of the party’s scene on canvas or stroll up to Renny & Reed’s “Flower Bar” to enjoy live arranging of “blooms for your prêt-à-porter.”

All the while, partygoers savored curated cocktails like Palm Beach Palomas featuring Avion Tequila, Lavender Lemon Drops with Absolut Vodka Elyx, and the Hook, Line, & Sinker with Teeling Irish Whiskey, gathered around tables outfitted in luxe sequined and teal velvet linens from La Tavola Fine Linen. If guests preferred a glass (or two!) of bubbly, they could head to an adorably chic champagne cart from Moët Hennessy.

Several composed photo spots offered the opportunity to pose and preserve the evening’s memories, including a greenery backdrop from The Flower Wall Co. Miami, which boasted the hot-pink neon phrase “Let’s Party” from Tropic Neon.

The entire evening offered unique twists on traditional elements — and that extended to the entertainment. Elan Artists curated a line-up of artists to include Cuban and Latin band, La Vida, two experienced DJs, — DJ Cat and DJ Santo — and a 10-piece band, The Social. Guests were especially wowed when, despite the chill, synchronized swimmers, the Aqualillies, performed a pool routine in perfect unison to a fun compilation of tunes.

Guests staved off the unexpected chilly weather with a boozy hot chocolate bar boasting yummy toppings, then followed that sweetness with a dessert spread they’ll be remembering in their dreams. The feast featured gorgeous mini “naked” cakes decorated with edible micro flowers, airbrushed truffles, key lime baba with toasted meringue, and more by Four Seasons Executive Pastry Chef Bashar Shamali. Atlas Party Rentals and Different Look provided beautiful serveware, fitting for the elevated fare, while Chalk Shop’s chic signage made sure guests knew what was in every delectable bite and sip. Display cakes from Earth & Sugar also inspired guests throughout the evening.

Face Time Beauty ensured the party hosts were celebration-ready, and photographer Jessica Bordner gorgeously captured every fun and touching moment with bright, vivid images. PS Photography + Films compiled special moments into an beautiful video of the event, complete with its “wow” ending of cold spark fireworks from Sparktacular.

The festivity included an especially touching moment when PartySlate awarded Paige Chenault, founder of The Birthday Party Project, with the company’s first Impact Award. Paige and her team, along with an extensive network of volunteers, have hosted over 7,000 birthday parties for children living in homeless and transitional living facilities.

The PartySlate team is gearing up for future launch parties in Miami, San Diego, Washington D.C. and many more in 2019.
