Search and Save Photos Now Live on PartySlate

PartySlate Eyes $112 Billion Special Events Market

Startup PartySlate Helps Brides and Party Hosts Find Inspiration and Top Event Professionals

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (June 9, 2016). PartySlate, www.partyslate.com, a photo-rich website for event ideas and inspiration, launched today in Chicago. Now, all party hosts planning larger-scale events can view and save beautiful photos, research event professionals and find the perfect venue all in one place.

High-quality images posted exclusively by event professionals are housed in a sleek user experience and curated by an experienced editorial team. “The online search for new event ideas is fragmented, overwhelming and time-consuming.” explains Julie Roth Novack, PartySlate CEO and Co-Founder. “PartySlate is the first platform that provides inspiration and access to top local professionals for all party hosts whether an elegant wedding, a milestone birthday or corporate party.”

PartySlate provides event professionals an unprecedented way to showcase their work, build their brand and connect with party hosts. Event planners, décor companies, venues, event photographers, caterers and entertainers create free PartySlate profiles to showcase their work to a targeted audience. Unlike other websites, every photo is linked back to the team of professionals who worked on the event. By the end of the year, the company will offer an advertising program allowing professionals to elevate their presence on the website.

The company raised a $1 million seed round in 2015, led by Chicago’s Hyde Park Venture Partners. More than 300 top Chicago event professionals, including Debi Lilly, The Four Seasons, Paulette Wolf Events and Kehoe Designs have since created profiles posting over 17,000 photos. PartySlate Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco will be launched within the next six months.

About the PartySlate Executive Team: CEO and Co-Founder Julie Roth Novack hosted more than 50 corporate events, galas and private parties before realizing there had to be a better way to find new ideas and local event professionals. After 20 years in digital agency executive roles, she recruited digital veterans John Haro (CTO, Co-Founder) and Mark Semon (Executive Creative Director) to form the company’s executive team. The trio have collaborated on and off for the past 20 years at leading digital shops such as Razorfish and Agency.com. The company is based in Chicago at 1871, a leading tech incubator.
