Ritz-Carlton Chicago Fourth Annual RitzUnlocked Event
Event planners from Chicago joined the Catering Team of The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago for the fourth annual RitzUnlocked event. Each year the event unveils something new for the year ahead, and this year brought exciting news. The party was the last to be held in the famed Concorde Ballroom, as the hotel is set for a complete refashioning in 2017. The celebration paid tribute to the magnificent past of the hotel and showcased the details of the ballrooms, menus and guest rooms for the coming year.
The catering team at the Ritz presented favorite items from the hotels’ glamorous past — including buckwheat bilinis with golden osetra caviar, pate du carnard, steak tartar and Maine lobster bisque — but also gave guests an opportunity to sample forthcoming menu items such as: fresh shucked oysters, grilled lamb loin with cahnna daal, grilled red snapper with lemon rice and sambal matah and purple cauliflower gratin. Moet Hennessey provided the signature Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial, while the Ritz mixologist crafted the “Rye Not” which included Few Rye, lemon juice, simple syrup, mint and cinnamon.
