Rustic Chic Texas Wedding

Branching Out Events collaborated with planner Dana Carroll on this lush, rustic style Texas wedding at The Laurel. Heidi, the bride, wanted to see big, bold blooms, gorgeous fall colors (presented in a non-typical fall palette) and slight additions of texture — nothing too wild. “I really listen to my brides and ask them to be 100% honest with me about what they like and equally what they don’t like,” said Debby Jewesson, Owner and Creative Director of Branching Out Events.

The color story was ivory (very light touches except for the bridal bouquet), blush, peach, caramel, gold and burgundy. For the greenery, the bride requested sage tones versus a dark green, so a lot of bay foliage and eucalyptus was incorporated. Product-wise, Branching Out took advantage of peonies being in season for a short time period each fall, so they were infused into every arrangement. Their outdoor ceremony had a perfect wooded backdrop. The chairs were laid out on different levels on the event lawn, so this was a nice way of allowing all the guests to see. Branching Out Events designed lanterns with floral along the aisle to add color to this rustic Texas wedding — a nice detail that tied into the structural “arch” backdrop made from natural birch wood.

Lanterns from the ceremony aisle, along with an abundance of candles, were placed on the tables inside the venue for the reception. The head table featured a trio of five-foot long hanging wood planks topped with floral, which was a perfect complement to the wood beam ceiling. The linens were neutral to allow the flowers to be the focus. For a personalized touch, the bride’s father printed off several oversized (about six-feet tall!) photos of his little girl that were placed on a mantle outside.
