Executed by Suhaag Garden, the focal point of this stunning Florida Indian wedding was a flower embellished mandap with purple, gold and ivory drapes. The garden theme continued in the reception room, which was decked out with a living floral ceiling covered with hanging orchids, commanding centerpieces and “ornaments” filled with live flowers.
6 Stunning South Asian Weddings
Modern and Colorful Wedding
When the bride contacted KIS (cubed) Events, she knew she wanted to throw a one-of-a-kind wedding in Utah. The KIS (cubed) Events team worked closely with the bride and her family on putting together the five-day celebration that brought in roughly 600 guests (and vendors!) from around the world. The design firm Occasions by Shangri-La was instrumental in developing out-of-the-box concepts from a design perspective while keeping in mind the two families backgrounds and the natural beauty of Utah.
Among the five events that took place was the Sangeet/Garba, a very colorful evening welcoming male and female guest as Rajas and Ranis. Special touches included Rajasthani Horses, a sprawling turquoise dance floor, live band and a “market” full of food stalls. The unforgettable reception had a modern and elegant “around the world” theme to celebrate the couple’s love of travel.
Multi-Cultural Wedding Celebration
Following a Catholic ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral, the groom celebrated his Baraat while the bride changed into her Indian Sari. Guests re-gathered at Morgan Manufacturing for the vibrant Indian ceremony, followed by a reception beaming with a fresh, summer vibe featuring accents of white and gold. Limelight Catering served an Indian Fusion meal that paid tribute to both sides of the family.
Colorful Outdoor Hindu Wedding
This outdoor Hindu ceremony with open boxwood mandap took place outside the gorgeous BAPS Mandir in Chicago. Elegance Decor worked with a bright color pallet consisting of orange, hot pink and hints of green and purple. The water fountain sets the perfect ambiance for an outdoor ceremony.
This gorgeous wedding, planned by Utzav Creations, was held at the Indianapolis Museum of Art on a beautiful summer’s day. It was a Gujurati wedding, so the bride and groom chose a wooden Ganesha mandap accented by fresh flowers in various warm tones of red, orange and yellow accented by greenery. All the florals were all re-used later for the reception inside the ballroom.
