Venue Spotlight

Chicago’s Newest Industrial Chic Venue, The Lakewood

This stunning space is a beautiful mix of fine details and clean, raw elements. Windows flood the space with natural light while custom modern fixtures adorn the ceiling and classically simple sconces stud the walls for lighting that sets the mood for any type of event. With an open floor plan, white walls, and a combination of painted concrete and hardwood floors, The Lakewood is a great new space for a wedding, fund-raiser or corporate event.

Two moveable custom-designed bars—as gorgeous as they are functional—fit with the venue’s glamorous neutral feel. The convenience and flexibility continues with a sound system and AV capabilities paired with a projector screen; the space is ready for all of your videos, montages, and company logos. There’s even a retractable garage door for bringing in large displays or cars as decor.

The Lakewood is extremely versatile with options for additional suites to use for staging, more intimate VIP pre-events or as bride and groom preparation spots. One suite can serve as a greenroom and has a loungy feel with cool decor, couches, and a television. Another suite that will be completed early in the new year is perfect for a meetings or break-out sessions, complete with flip charts, dry erase boards and a conference-style table.

Yet another space attached to The Lakewood is called The Highground, a charming venue in its own right that can be added for use as perhaps a bridal suite. With clean white upscale decor including tables for meals or meetings, a wet-bar, an area for relaxing, several televisions, and private bathrooms, this space can be used for any type of small gathering associated with a larger event being hosted in The Lakewood.

The Lakewood is owned and managed by Paramount Events, a leading caterer in Chicago.  You can expect amazing food and stellar service from the on-site culinary kitchen. Your food is freshly-prepared just steps away from where it’s being served as overseen by acclaimed chef Devon Quinn.

Quinn relies on lot of locally-sourced products, including fruits and vegetables from his on-site organic grow-house, to provide the freshest options for events. With a focus on seasonal ingredients, menus are fully customizable to meet your needs from passed one-bite hors-d’oeuvres to food stations and seated meals.

The Lakewood was designed by uber-talented Jodi Fyfe and her leadership team at Paramount Events.  After years of hosting events across the city, this group of experienced event professionals thought of every small detail to make your event seamless.
