Two Years in the Making, Ceci x Nuage Launches With Industry-Studded Party in NYC
By PartySlate
In late September above the New York City skyline, luxury invitation designer Ceci New York and couture linen rental company Nuage Designs brought brides, grooms, and event hosts the ultimate solution to unique and luxe table décor. After being in the industry together for over a decade, the two creative companies decided to combine their expertise and innovative visions to curate the perfect table design collection for their clients.
The product launch, planned by Victoria Dubin Events at Glasshouse Chelsea, revealed a one-of-a-kind line put together by the two event industry powerhouses, which featured the most beautiful assortment of linens, prints and place settings. After two years in the making, Ceci’s famous hand-painted invitation designs were transformed into a line of Nuage linens, with matching menus that brought the textile artwork to life.
A collection as noteworthy as this deserved an epic launch party — and the event’s dream team of designers did not disappoint. The impressive group included Ed Libby & Company, DeJuan Stroud, Inc., Jes Gordon, Belle Fleur NYC, Birch Event Design and Adam Leffel Productions — who each put their own twist on a set from the collection with breathtaking florals, centerpieces and more.
The idea behind selecting six distinct designers was to incorporate their “unique styles to really showcase the range and flexibility of our collection in new and inspiring ways,” explained Nuage Designs President, Pablo Oliveiro. “The designers were given complete freedom to interpret our linen designs and express themselves with no boundaries.”
The versatility of each linen and matching menu were complemented by the individual aesthetics and personalities that each designer brought to the table — literally. The event took guests on a journey as they marveled at each tablescape, traveling through different styles and themes that ranged from romantic and edgy to tropical and chic.
The event was intended to be a memorable product launch — but as the planning unfolded and the creative partners began their work, it became clear there was more to the magic. The Ceci x Nuage launch party became a “celebration of collaboration” within the events industry according to the event’s masterminds.
With incredible cuisine catered by Laurence Craig Catering, an esteemed raw venue with breathtaking views, and energizing entertainment from Total Entertainment and DJ Philkaratzia — all combined with florals and décor from some of top event designers in the world — the event was the perfect celebration of partnership and industry talent. Among other supportive event partners were Party Rental Ltd. and Luxe Event Rentals who provided the tabletop décor and corresponding seating furniture.
Frost Productions constructed 3D lighting projections that mimicked elements from the line’s Hibiscus Palm linen, while the catering staff wore ties made from Ceci x Nuage linen fabrics. To round out the unforgettable occasion were signature cocktails from Momentum Mixology. Each cocktail was named after one of the linen designs from the collection, and were created with ingredients that accentuated the linen of its name, from romantic notes to tropical tastes.
“The one thing I kept hearing all night was the great energy and love that everyone felt in the room,” continued Oliveiro. “The images shot by Allan Zepeda are a testament of that. We feel so incredibly fortunate to have had this event documented through his lens.” PartySlate CEO & Co-Founder, Julie Roth Novack, couldn’t agree more, describing the event as unforgettable and filled with incredible industry leaders.
