America’s fourth-largest city knows how to celebrate. Whether they’re hosting the biggest rodeo worldwide or putting on a one-of-a-kind show like the Car Parade, Houstonians always find a good reason to have a great time. Of course, that goes for exclusive celebrations as well. From haciendas to industrial lofts, here are some of the hottest private event venues Houston has to offer — one of which is absolutely perfect for that milestone birthday party, corporate celebration, or glam wedding you’re planning.

The Revaire

Taking its name from the word ‘revelry,’ The Revaire, fittingly, was custom designed with celebrations in mind. Husband and wife team Jason and Rachel Volz recognized the need for more versatile event venues in their thriving Houston hometown — and found the perfect space in this 1942 munition factory. After passing through 12-foot mercury glass doors, guests enter The Gallery. Decorative sconces and an impressive lighting installation capture the gold accents featured throughout the room. The result is a shimmering backdrop for your next exclusive event. Brides and grooms will also love the private lounges. With adjacent patios and wet bars, they’re the perfect place to begin any celebration. We especially love the way this colorful wedding celebration created a verdant paradise with vivid florals and greenery.

The Gallery Capacity: 250 (seated) – 400 (standing)

Designed by Andria Design, this Art Deco landmark building takes its inspiration from New York City’s Grand Central Station. Fourteen-foot ceilings and glittering chandeliers bring an aura of glamour to its chic industrial design. The copper detailing and brushed aluminum are especially striking juxtaposed with the building’s majestic mosaic floor. Each one centimeter “tessera” was painstakingly laid by hand and is constructed of luxurious materials like Chinese jade, white alabaster, and black marble. See how this luxe Houston wedding utilized lavender uplighting and beautiful blooms to accent the rich space.

Restaurant by day, private event space by night, The Dunlavy is Houston’s hottest dual-purpose venue. This “glass tree house” overlooking the banks of Buffalo Bayou and Lost Lake brings its surrounding natural beauty just within reach. Guests can marvel at over 40 crystal chandeliers of varying shapes and sizes. The Victorian-inspired furniture juxtaposed with exposed ceilings and rustic wood table tops creates a satisfying fusion of past and present. We appreciate how this gold and greenery-accented wedding brought in yet another surprising element with acrobats performing on silks strung from the towering ceilings. Outdoor receptions are particularly charming on the covered patio tucked within a grove of trees. Small bulbs strung across the translucent roof create a starlit canopy, regardless of weather. Best of all, Clark Cooper Concepts’ team provides an unforgettable dining experience. Luckily, you can always return the next day for brunch.

Opening night dinners for Houston Symphony Orchestra, Houston Grand Opera, and The NFL Players Super Bowl Party, are just some of the extraordinary events held at this stunning venue. The Grand Hall and surrounding Mezzanine level make it a perfect setting for corporate galas or charity balls. A colonnade of soaring Corinthian pillars and a suspended bi-cameral staircase also make it a natural location for a lavish wedding.
