Why the Poolside With Poosh Event Made Kourtney Kardashian Our New Favorite Marketer

Anyone with an Instagram was swooning over Kourtney Kardashian’s newest venture, Poosh’s September soirée this past weekend. The brand’s tagline reads, “A guide to living your best life” — and that’s exactly what partygoers did at the blog’s SoCal event.
In true Kardashian style, Poolside with Poosh created FOMO and intrigue with inventive social media promotions and an influencer-filled guest list. The brand hosted a dreamy resort-inspired wellness event planned by none other than Mindy Weiss Party Consultants. Starting with a hotel-style check in area, guests were greeted for an “afternoon of wellness and relaxation” with a map of the sponsored space. Lining the entrance were bell carts displaying plush Brooklinen robes for each attendee.
Luxury floral designer Jeff Leatham created a bed of floating roses, which popped in vibrant shades of pink and yellow atop the pool. Guests made their way past the pool and into the activity-filled event, but not without stopping for a Poosh-provided bikini from the popular brand, Onia. After selecting a suit, guests passed a wall of Stuart Weitzman kicks, which came in exclusive Poosh styles, all named after the different Kardashian/Jenner sisters, of course.
The epic ‘Poosh Cam’ captured guests walking in their new designer footwear toward the massage beds — yes, actual beds — which sat atop country club-style grass tennis courts. The relaxing offering took place on Avocado Green Mattresses, with services provided by Squeeze — a new massage company founded by the creators of Drybar.
The brilliantly-branded event ensured no guest — or Instagram follower — forgot sunscreen, with carts of COOLA lotion displayed next to white lifeguard chairs. Among other event luxuries was a yoga class held beneath white-draped cabanas. Guests were gifted Gymshark mats and fitting avocado-colored athleisure wear. Post-yoga hydration came from Poosh-branded water bottles, while blush branded hand fans cooled guests off even further (and made for a cute photo prop).
After working up an appetite during yoga, guests headed to Elle Macpherson’s WelleCo’s station. Watercolor menus and citrus décor comprised of lemons, grapefruits, and pomegranates added to the party’s summer vibe. Other reasons we wish we were there: Facials with Peach & Lily products; a tea ceremony with wellness blogger Local Rose; and a CBD bar by Hemple. Oh, and we can’t forget the divine Slip pillowcase pit that guests dove into for the perfect Instagram Boomerang.
Custom craft Don Julio Tequila drinks — including the Poosh Please Skinny Marg and Poosh Perfect Paloma — and a wine bar by Winc allowed guests to mingle with fresh and boozy beverages. Before leaving the party, guests were handed a Reformation bag filled with products from each event sponsor. Kourtney, if you’re reading this, we’ll be there for the next one.
