His & His Luxury Island Wedding

Howie & David celebrated in style at Four Seasons Maui.

From David:

Our families both live in California and Scotland which meant that no matter where we decided to get hitched, it would be a destination wedding. Instead of doing something in Washington, DC we decided to go full out and do it in paradise. When we saw the Four Seasons property in Maui we were blown away and our wedding planner there, Paola Fernandez made it an easy decision for us.

When we saw the Four Seasons property in Maui we were blown away and our wedding planner there, Paola Fernandez made it an easy decision for us.

Howie is an officer in the US Army, and at the time I was an orchestral conductor. We knew that we wanted something formal; there is nothing smarter than black, white and gold. (Besides, it just so happens that black and gold are the official Army football team's colors haha). So, we decided to go with the theme, "An Officer And A Gentleman".

Howie wore a Hugo Boss Tuxedo.
I wore an Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo for the wedding and then wore Cavalli in the evening.
Our shoes were Hugo Boss.
Our rings were Cartier (love rings - Howie's was plain and mine had diamonds of course)

Our good friend Connor Chee flew in from Arizona and played piano for our ceremony and first dance. In addition, I played piano for Howie and then for our parents to all have another 'first dance'.

Our Maid of honor, Kolbi's father owns a printing company and he printed our invitations. They were so elegant! Also, being as everybody was coming in from all over the world, we scheduled a TON of events for everybody and we designed a schedule of events mailer. It was a lot of fun but I realized I will not own a printing company anytime soon. The amazing Paola took care of everything else. Seriously, everybody should get to know Paola Fernandez; she is incredibly good at her job and made us feel like we had known her forever.
