BAHTOH

In 2015, Seattle natives Bobbie Yanoupeth and Michael Sing created the BAHTOH team while residing on opposite coasts in New York and the Bay Area. When they were 18 years old, they met and instantly became each other's first love. After a few years of going their separate ways, living different lives, and practicing their individual crafts, the two decided to collaborate and create beautiful magic together - it is this magic that has led both of them back to Seattle and given birth to BAHTOH. As a refugee from Laos, Bobbie first learned how to style hair when he was eight years old, when his mother struggled to locate a stylist in Holland, MI owing to a language problem. Her response was to teach her son how to perm her hair and put up updos for special occasions. Bobbie would go on to cosmetology school in New York City after what could have been considered a chore created a creative fire within him. He worked with Lady Gaga and a number of fashion businesses shortly after finishing school, and his work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Brides, WWD, Curve, Nylon, and others. Michael, a highly educated pianist and opera vocalist who received UW scholarships for his musical abilities, had a thing for florals. It began on Sundays at his grandfather's house, where he would spend the day tilling the soil, planting flowers, and learning about the many plants and how each one required different care in order to thrive. This Sunday habit quickly turned into an obsession, and it is now his passion. He's done too many weddings to count, and he can't imagine doing anything else.
