Your guest experience starts here. We are an extraordinary, full service catering and event production company focusing on you. Instead of spending our time developing pre-set menus and packages, we dedicate ourselves to spending time with clients and creating unique experiences. Our commitment to quality ingredients goes uncomprimised. We utilize local organic produce whenever possible and source sustainable poultry and meat from local ranches. We demand excellence in all we do. This reaches beyond the dining experience at your event. From the initial planning process and location site visits to how we train and develop each of our team members, we don't settle for mediocrity. - Do you specialize in certain types of cuisine?
- That's the beauty of Contemporary: we are fully custom. We work with each of our clients to create a menu based on their wants and needs, and we thrive off of the creativity. Whether that's a delicious Italian pasta or a Banh Mi, our custom curation allows our chefs to excel in any and all cuisine.
- Do you offer bar or liquor packages?
- We sure do! We offer full bar, beer & wine bars, or mixers only should you be providing your own alcohol. Contemporary is a full service catering and production company, and we can handle all aspects of your event.
- What venues have you worked at before?
- We have been lucky enough to work at practically every venue in the city of Los Angeles and beyond. And we LOVE and are so grateful for our venue partners. Our team has experience at venues with and without kitchens, and can help guide our clients to help the event operation run seamlessly.
- Do you offer catering options to accommodate special dietary needs?
- Always! Being fully custom, our creative team will work with you to create a menu that accommodates to any and all dietary needs.
- How many staff members will be present on the day of my event?
- The amount of staff present on your event will differ based on guest count, menu complexity, and overall time frame. However, there will always be an exceptional Contemporary Captain and Chef on site to help execute a flawless event. And we have the BEST team! :)

Nathaniel Neubauer
EXECUTIVE CHEF • PROPRIETORLike any good Angeleno, I served, bartended, cooked and surfed my way through college, but at nearby USCB. For years afterwards I managed front of the house teams and kitchen teams at a successful restaurant group in Santa Barbara. Spending early mornings learning how to cut meat and fish was just part of the gig. I love what I do so much that I don’t ever have to work a day in my life.
