Dandelion Catering

In 2009, Christine and Christian Hayes, who had both spent their entire lives in Maine, decided to pursue a dream that would take them out of the restaurant and food service industries and into the world of catering. This decision resulted in the official launch of Dandelion Catering Company in the city of Portland, Maine. Their ultimate objective was to not only make cuisine that was of restaurant quality and freshly cooked in an industry that relied much too heavily on frozen and pre-made products, but also to establish a business that was deeply rooted in the values that guided them as individuals. Fine dining that is created using only the freshest and most flavorful ingredients. ​ Years later, the modest beginnings of a small business that was built on the foundation of a tireless work ethic and an iron-clad commitment to service and quality has evolved into one of the most talented and respected catering companies in the region. The roots of this company can be traced back to when it was a bootstrapped small business. In the end, they have established a business that, in many ways, is a reflection of the way that they live their lives. Simple, accessible, and humble, yet incredibly distinctive. There is no illusion or deception involved; there is only a genuine enthusiasm for cooking, the dining experience, community, and family.
