I have been involved in the wedding and events sector for more than 25 years, and it is my true passion. I began my professional career as an Event Planner at a well-known Westchester, New York Country Club before launching my own company 17 years ago. Over the years, my award-winning company, Weddings by Debra, has helped hundreds of couples plan their dream weddings and celebrations around the New York Metropolitan region. The Association of Bridal Consultants has certified me as a Professional Wedding PlannerTM, which means that I actively participate in and plan educational and networking activities. I am equally enthusiastic about putting my abilities to work for non-profit organizations. I serve on the board of directors for the Hamilton-Madison House (“HMH”) and Westchester Residential Opportunities (“WRO”). When it comes to supporting both groups with their event planning and fundraising efforts as well as their mission, my professional knowledge is a great fit. Debra can assist you in bringing your dream event to life, no matter what stage of the planning process you are in. Create a line-item budget for your wedding or event that is tailored to your needs. Make recommendations for vendors who are compatible with your vision and negotiate contracts with them. Examine any vendor contracts to ensure that you are fully aware of the services that will be offered. Make arrangements for hotel accommodations and keep track of reservations for you and your visitors. Make a strategy for the logistics of the event on the day of the event. Transportation for you and other important attendees is provided. Take into account the transportation and parking needs of your guests. Organize and coordinate services with all vendors. Gather and organize all essential documentation. Create a schedule for the event day to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Conference calls or in-person meetings based on clients’ schedules. Provision of a dedicated on-site coordinators who will be on hand for every part of your event.
