Downright Saxy

Jeff Miguel is a saxophonist who lives in Denver, Colorado, where he also teaches and performs. He runs his own private lesson studio, which features a student jazz saxophone ensemble as an extracurricular activity. ownright Saxy is a one-man band that performs hits from the top 40 as well as older music. When it comes to private events, weddings, corporate parties, festivals, cocktail hours, and other types of events with low to medium sized budgets, Downright Saxy is the ideal choice. Downright Saxy is a cover band that plays instrumental renditions of popular songs from the past and present. The vocal melodies are performed live on tenor saxophone by Jeff Miguel, and the rest of the sound is filled out by a rhythm section that has been pre-recorded. You have the option of performing any of the songs in their complete original versions, or you can perform them in stripped-down acoustic arrangements (see videos for examples). The sound of Downright Saxy could be expanded with the addition of a second horn player.
