Gary Ferrar is an acclaimed mentalist and magician who's as comfortable headlining for multi-billion dollar companies (Facebook, Morgan Stanley, Ralph Lauren) as he is performing for a casual rooftop event. He draws on his love for theater and improvisation in more than 300 performances each year, from live national TV appearances on Fox News, to performing for Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel on Season 7 of America's Got Talent. - Why should I book a magician for my event?
- Magic creates an atmosphere of awe and intrigue, captivating guests from start to finish, and elevating otherwise ordinary event. Gary can break the ice and encourage interaction, allowing guests to bond over shared amazement. Gary works with a personal touch, creating bespoke experiences.
- What's your favorite trick?
- This might sound like a cop-out, but I love all the effects I do. If I didn't, they wouldn't be in my repertoire. What interests me more, is what trick is right for what moment. When I know I've selected the perfect material, then that is my favorite trick for that moment.
- How much do you charge?
- There are lot of factors that go into a quote, including the size of your event, the travel required, the popularity of the date, and how much preparation is required. Because I treat each event as a unique experience, please reach out to get a personalized quote!
- Can virtual events really be exciting?
- The objective is to make this a truly one-of-a-kind experience that people will talk about on their Slack channel far into the future. My virtual show leaves room for the audience to be the true stars. Everyone can sense that we are working without a net, which keeps them on the edge of their seat.
- How long should we book you for?
- For stage shows, my act can be as short as 15 minutes, and as long as 90 minutes. But I personally think we can accomplish everything we need to in 45-60 minutes. For strolling magic, I typically say I can get to 50 people in an hour, but can easily adjust based on your budget/preference.
