Jamie Mercurio

Since I can remember, I've always carried a camera. I studied photography in college in Rome under an Italian photographer, and I have a B.A. in Visual Communication. In high school, I honed my dark room skills. Although taking pictures has always been a hobby of mine, turning it into a career has been the best thing ever. I left my corporate job in 2015 to focus solely on wedding photography. It was similar to jumping out of an airplane without knowing whether your parachute would open. Occasionally, taking a chance can work wonders. Since then, I have captured weddings and couples in Maine, all around New England, in New York City, Arizona, Texas, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. My photography has a photojournalistic look with a high art touch. I enjoy using natural light and shooting on film. I wed Lawrence, a charming lobsterman, in 2018, and now we all reside in lovely Midcoast Maine with our springer spaniel Scout and our 1-year-old son Lucien. Love is everywhere. I enjoy writing about it.
