In the end, I want to be able to make personal and intimate films without actually being too close or invasive to the subject matter. My goal is to always enhance the day rather than detract from it, and one way I plan to do this is by using more compact cameras and staying out of the way of the day's natural beauty. I started shooting my first wedding when I was only fourteen years old, thanks to my early interest in film. I attended Biola University in Los Angeles to pursue my interest in film further and ultimately earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production there. I am frequently asked how many weddings I have filmed, and to be honest, I have lost count. However, I never get tired of them because every married couple and every wedding day has a completely different story to tell. Even though having photographs taken at your wedding is an absolute must, there are certain moments that simply cannot be captured by a camera. An experience that is uniquely connected to the movie is one in which you are able to recall the sound of her laugh or observe how he smirked at you when you said something cute. When coupled with the appropriate soundtrack, telling a visual story of your day can evoke feelings and memories in a way that no other form of expression can come close to matching. I can honestly say that I have never heard anyone say, "I really regret having a wedding film," but on the other hand, I have heard the complete opposite way too many times.
