Founded in 2004
Acclaimed Brooklyn + Berkshires based wedding photographer, Karen Wise has been recognized as one of the best in her field by American Photo magazine (“World’s Top 10”). Her artistic weddings, family sessions and food imagery have appeared in various magazines and cookbooks including: NY Mag, Martha Stewart Weddings, VOGUE, ELLE, NY Times, Boston Globe and more. Karen has been photographing weddings, big and small, on film and digitally for the past 20 years. After graduating from RISD, she moved to NYC to assist several renowned photographers while building her wedding photography business. Her work has a unique, colorful and elegant fine art aesthetic. “I love weddings because I get to use ALL of my technical skills as a photographer. During the wedding day I get to make portraits, still life and documentary images which keep me on my toes! I love to connect and meet my clients' cherished friends and family. - Are engagement shoots included in any of your packages?
- Yes engagement sessions are included in some of our packages. The shoot includes 1-2 hours of unlimited photography in 2-3 locations of your choice in NYC or the Berkshires.
- Do you work with a videographer or a Super-8 filmmaker?
- Yes, we work with a few different wedding moviemakers who vary in price and style. Please ask for their contact info.
- Do you shoot on film as well as digital?
- Yes, we shoot both digitally and on film. You can choose the quantity of film you would like. Our lab scans our film to make digital files of each image. The benefits of shooting with film are the rich and true colors. Black and white film has a rich and tonal classic look and a unique film grain.
- Do you make albums from our wedding photographs?
- Yes, I love to make albums! I believe it's a beautiful way to tell the story and to view your wedding images (in print form) instead of only on the computer or on a mobile device. Albums also make great gifts for family members after your big day.
- How long does it take for our wedding photographs to be ready?
- Your edited, unmarked high-resolution images are ready about 4-6 weeks after the wedding date. Depending on the size of your event, you will receive about 700-850 perfectly edited images in an elegant password-protected gallery.
