Legacy String Trio

In 2011, the Legacy String Trio made their debut at the University of Rhode Island. Since then, they've spent most of their time arranging and performing modern and popular music together. This trio is the perfect match for your special occasion, with a mix of classical and contemporary repertoire! They travel around Southern New England for weddings, private celebrations, and special events. Annie Lagace (violin/viola) is a graduate of Gettysburg College's Sunderman Conservatory and holds a master's degree in music from the University of Rhode Island. The Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts is directed by Annie. She is also the Warwick Symphony Orchestra's lead violist. Christina Stavrakas (violin/viola) earned a bachelor's degree in music performance from the University of Rhode Island and a master's degree in speech and language pathology from the Institute of Health Professions at Massachusetts General Hospital. Christina works in the Boston Metrowest area as a speech-language pathologist. She is a member of the New England Philharmonic and the Longwood Symphony, both of which are based in Boston, MA. Emily Johnston (cello) holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Rhode Island. She is the lead cellist of the Warwick Symphony Orchestra and the strings teacher for South Kingstown, RI. Emily is a knitter and seamstress who makes and sells baskets, bags, and other items at local arts fairs in addition to her passion for music.
