In 1997, our story begins. Melissa obtained employment at a comic book store. Marisa, her new coworker, was introduced to her on her first day. They began chatting and they never stopped... That's how our friendship started! We became roommates in a little flat in Providence a few months later. We've seen it all, from breakups to wedding plans to pregnancy and motherhood. It was all about Nirvana while we were roommates, and we kept our secret loves for pop music, beer, cheese fries, our Polaroid camera, and thrift store shopping hidden. It's all about The Avett Brothers now that we've grown up, embracing our love of pop music, wine, cheese plates, karaoke, our Canon Mark iii cameras, and shopping at Anthropologie but buying items from H&M and Forever 21. We always joke that we are each other's wives because "friend" doesn't quite cut it anymore. A better word is required.
