Founded in 1987

Marquis Design & Décor is a full-service event design company built on nearly four decades of experience, artistry, and family-oriented service. Formerly known as Marquis Florals by Kim, our brand evolved to reflect what we’ve always delivered — thoughtfully designed, expertly executed events that go far beyond flowers. Founded in 1987 by Kim Lovitt as the in-house floral and décor team at the prestigious Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey, Marquis quickly became known for precision, creativity, and reliability — executing 350–400 events each year and setting a standard of excellence still felt today. When Kim opened Marquis Florals as an independent shop in 2006, the company quickly became a trusted name for weddings, mitzvahs, milestone celebrations, and corporate events. After 40 years in the business Kim decided that she was ready to retire at the end of 2026 and follow her dreams to travel the world. In doing so, she has passed the torch to her 20-year mentee. On January 16th Francesca officially purchased the business — honoring a 40-year legacy while expanding its vision. Today, Marquis Design & Décor offers full service floral design and event decor, with florals remaining at the heart of everything they do. Their award-winning team continues to push creative boundaries while remaining grounded in what matters most: integrity, warmth, and hands-on care. For generations of families, Marquis has been trusted with life’s most meaningful moments — and they have no intention of going anywhere. This is Marquis: Rooted in legacy. Backed by experience. How many years have you been in business?
36 years and counting. We were established in 1987.
What makes your services unique?
We are not a flower shop. We design special events only. Our staff is trained and skilled to perform in high pressure, fast past and sometimes unpredictable environments. All of our time and attention goes to our events. Our main team of 9 has over 167 years of combined experience in this industry.
