Making individuals feel at ease is the key to my approach to photography; when they are relaxed, they will look their best. By combining layers of editorial, documentary, and fine art techniques in this way, I am able to produce beautiful yet unflinching imagery that tells an authentic tale. The truly individual nature of each wedding's "story" is what makes them so lovely, but it also makes it difficult to capture in a photograph. One thing all of my clients have in common is that they value how precisely I capture events from start to finish. My unique ability to generate consistent work in whatever setting—whether it's a California sunset for portraiture or a New York hotel dance floor—is something I'm extremely proud of. I've used the variety of places I've been as a palette to produce some of my most memorable photography work. Experienceing new places is an endless source of inspiration for me, whether I'm traveling to meet my clients abroad or in destinations within my home state of Florida. Although I've been a resident of Miami Beach since 2015, I work between California and Chicago during the majority of the summer months. We always use a second photographer when we are shooting. Two photographers are required on a wedding day, unless your event is smaller than 25 people and only happens in one place. Since we have shot almost every wedding together, I'm lucky to work alongside my fiancée Megan, and our styles complement one another perfectly. Almost half of the events I capture are indoor weddings and receptions in any given season. I am able to create imagery that is consistent with my naturally lit work because to my strong skill with artificial lighting techniques. We provide hand-wrapped leather and linen-bound albums in a range of hues and sizes. Despite the fact that we live in a digital world, I want every wedding to be seen in paper. I hope that a real album will serve as a family heirloom for many generations to come.
