Sara Wight Photography

Sara Wight is an award-winning fine art photographer based in New York City and Washington, D.C., known for her quiet, calm, demeanor that puts her clients at ease and allows them to feel fully present on their wedding day. With an MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and a BFA in Studio Art from Kutztown University, her sought-after documentary-style approach to photography and passion for landscape photography creates beautifully natural photographs that are classic, artful and effortlessly beautiful. Sara’s work has been featured in People Magazine, InStyle, The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Knot, Style Me Pretty, Destination Weddings and Honeymoons, Vera Wang Unveiled, OnceWed, among many others. In her free time, Sara loves to travel the world, exploring new food and wine and shooting landscape photography (her prints are available in her Print Shop and at sarawight.com). Yoga, meditation and hiking keep her centered. Beyond weddings, Sara also shoots commercially and her work has been exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States, including the permanent collection at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua. In 2011, Sara’s work was published in the Rizzoli publication of contemporary photography, NEW YORK: A Photographer’s City, alongside renowned artists, such as Joel Meyerwitz, Andreas Gursky and Ed Burtinsky.
