Born in Vietnam, Thomas and his family escaped Saigon on April 29, 1975, the day prior to the country’s fall to Communism. His early childhood in Vietnam was influenced greatly by French culture – particularly the flare for entertaining – and his family’s involvement in politics. Through the experience of hosting black-tie events for dignitaries, Thomas developed an admiration for panache and sophistication. While working in the pharmaceutical industry as an adult, Thomas felt a calling to hospitality. In 2000, upon completing his MBA, he founded Thomas Bui Lifestyle. Graciousness is Thomas’ north star as an event designer. His commitment to being compassionate and kind is strongly married to his passion for style and elegance.
