About Velocity
Led by vocalist Heidie Malnassy, Velocity performs an expansive repertoire, including jazz standards, R&B, Soul, Motown, Classic Rock, Contemporary Top 40, and everything in between. The band features world-class talent who have performed alongside Chaka Khan, Common, Wynton Marsalis, and Dianna Krall! The inclusion of 3 lead vocalists in a 7-piece band is unique in Chicagoland, and it allows Velocity to perform with uncommon versatility. The band can be expanded by adding horns and violins as well. At any size, Velocity is a perfect choice for your special event!

- How would you describe your entertaining style?
- Fully customizable. We work closely with every client to integrate music into every aspect of an evening to enhance every moment and create a seamless flow. From the start of the evening, through the end.
- Are you willing to learn new songs that are important to me?
- Absolutely. Learning that special song from a family memory or college years makes a huge, memorable impact on the dancefloor.
- How many musicians and vocalists are in your band?
- 7 total (3 vocals, 4 piece rhythm section) We can be customized based on individual preferences, and we offer a variety of small ensembles for more intimate celebrations as well!
- What are your health and safety guidelines for Covid-19?
