When will we meet with our DJ to plan our music details?

Clients are introduced to their DJs about 4-6 weeks prior to their date. From there, they work directly with the DJ to schedule their planning meeting. Typically this meeting lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.

What time does our DJ plan on arriving?

Our DJs always arrive 2 hours prior to their contracted start time for set up. For example, if you want your DJ to start playing music for a 4:30pm guest arrival time, then the DJ will arrive at 2:30pm to begin setting up.

Does the DJ need a table and linen?

VOX DJs always bring a 4x4ft table with fitted black linen for reception. But clients/ venues are always welcome to provide tables and linens for us. Please provide a table and linen if you want the appearance of DJ’s table to match the theme/ color scheme of the wedding.

Will there be a microphone and stand for the officiant?

Yes. If you booked a full day wedding package with us, then we will be handling all of the audio needs for the ceremony. That package includes a hard-wired microphone and stand for the officiant. We prefer to use hard wired microphones over wireless or lapel microphones to guarantee optimal sound.

Will there be a microphone for speeches/toasts?

Your DJ will have 2 microphones for the reception. 1 high quality wireless microphone will be set up for guests to pass around for speeches or toasts, and the DJ will have their own wired microphone to continue making announcements throughout the evening.
