Quassy Amusement & Waterpark sits on the south shore of Lake Quassapaug in Middlebury, Connecticut, and has welcomed guests since 1908 — one of only eleven trolley parks still operating in the United States. The 20-acre park combines a historic character with a working lakeside setting, making it an unusual backdrop for weddings, corporate outings, reunions, and group celebrations. Events are hosted across three dedicated catering areas, each with its own character. The Fieldside Pavilion — the park's original 1937 structure, fully renovated in 2024 — anchors large-scale gatherings with a two-acre activity field and expanded event space. The Patio Party area, situated on the lakefront adjacent to the park restaurant, accommodates groups of 50 to 200 under covered awnings with views of Lake Quassapaug. A third facility, the Trolley Stop Pavilion, serves smaller groups looking for a more intimate setting. Lakeside Caterers handles all on-site events with a menu of more than 100 items. Catered events include use of the facility for the full day, a front gate attendant, free parking, and all-day ride and Splash Away Bay waterpark passes for all guests.

Tarrywile Mansion is a 23-room Victorian estate built in 1897 for Dr. William Conrad Wile, a prominent Danbury physician, on the grounds of what is now a 722-acre municipal park. Designed in the Shingle Style by the New York firm Child and DeGoll, the mansion features a wrap-around veranda, grand entrance hall with sweeping staircase, and a glass conservatory — added in the early 1900s by subsequent owner Charles Darling Parks — that now serves as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since reopening in 1990 as a community and event center, the mansion has hosted weddings, milestone celebrations, corporate gatherings, and private parties. Full house rentals include the first floor — encompassing the living room, drawing room, library, dining room, kitchen, and veranda — along with second-floor bridal and groom's suites. The mansion accommodates up to 120 guests for a seated dinner or buffet and up to 150 for a standing cocktail reception. Tables and chairs are included, and the venue welcomes licensed independent caterers.

Anchored at Steamboat Dock in Essex, Connecticut, the Connecticut River Museum occupies a restored 1878 steamboat warehouse — the last of its kind on the river and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum sits on a 1.5-acre waterfront campus overlooking Essex Harbor, where the North Deck stretches directly over the Connecticut River and sailboats drift past year-round. The campus offers several distinct event spaces. The Boathouse Room, a program and exhibition space at the back of the museum building, opens directly onto the North Deck and accommodates up to 55 guests for cocktail-style gatherings. The Samuel Lay House — built in the 18th century and once home to the original Dauntless Yacht Club — suits intimate celebrations and corporate luncheons of up to 40 guests. For larger tented receptions, the Lay House Lawn overlooks the river and accommodates up to 150 guests. Events are available after museum hours, beginning at 5:30 PM. The venue is ADA compliant throughout, and outside caterers are welcomed for all event types.
