  Mountainside Events is a private event venue set on 115 acres of farmland and forest in Urbana, Maryland, minutes from I-270 in Frederick County. The property's mix of wooded landscape and open grounds provides a natural retreat backdrop for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, and custom celebrations. The venue offers three distinct event spaces — a rustic barn, an enclosed 40-by-60-foot event tent, and a newly constructed event building — that can be booked individually or in combination for groups of up to 175 guests. A 20-by-40-foot auxiliary tent, along with tables and chairs, is included with all rentals. Mountainside operates as a non-exclusive venue, giving couples and planners the freedom to bring their preferred vendors. Every booking includes event host assistance for planning and coordination and up to six hours of private rented space with access to shared grounds. Optional add-ons include zip lining, a climbing wall, archery, team building programs on high and low ropes courses, and a gourmet s'mores bar — amenities that set Mountainside apart for celebrations where guests want an active, outdoor experience alongside the event itself.

Julie spends her free time with her husband, Sam, who works for ThorpeWood LLC as the Executive Director. Julie enjoys camping, kayaking, hiking, traveling, and anything else that involves being outside! Sam and Julie own three cats, three dogs, and one bunny. Julie and her dog, Tucker, also enjoy participating in Dog Agility! She enjoys spending time with her grown children, four granddaughters, and her grandpups.
