16350 Skyline Blvd, Woodside, CA 94062, USA

Canyon Ranch, the pioneering company that pioneered integrative wellness, began with the pursuit of wellness by a single man, long before the term "wellness" became common use. Since then, that goal has inspired a business, but more importantly, it has encouraged innumerable individuals to pursue their own individual conceptions of what constitutes wellness. Canyon Ranch guides your lifetime well-being down a road of proven answers with its four immersive destinations and integrated team of professionals. Mel Zuckerman took the key decision to change his sedentary lifestyle in 1978, long before the wellness industry became a multi-trillion dollar industry. This decision was made in 1978. He understood after two weeks of living a healthy lifestyle that he had permanently changed his life, and he wanted to assist others in making the same change. This objective was initiated in 1979 when the first Canyon Ranch location, located near Tucson, Arizona, initially welcomed guests. This pioneering wellness resort was the first of its type to use an integrative approach, drawing on holistic methods, therapies, and evidence from both western and eastern traditions to address the well-being of the mind, body, and spirit.

6320 Silverado Trail, Napa, CA 94558, USA

RSV is a second-generation, family-owned and operated vineyard and winery guided by the principle that the craft of winegrowing begins with the care of the soil. Every vine for every wine was planted by RSV with every vineyard certified* organic. One could say that RSV is beyond organic. Since 1991, RSV has been practicing the “whole farm” philosophy of interrelationships based on Rudolph Steiner’s 1928 lecture “Agriculture.” This approach addresses the damage done by modern, mechanized farming to heal an ailing earth, tapping into the rhythms of nature, encouraging natural processes to grow balanced wine grapes that require little more than attentiveness to craft into expressive, vibrant and living wines. RSV approaches the cellar with purist sensibilities. Winemaker Jeff Virnig provides the knowledge of nearly 35 years in the RSV cellar and vineyards, crafting wines that are true to variety and place. RSV to maintains a house style of elegance, balance and finesse. RSV does not submit wine for review by score-centric critics, because to taste wine in a competitive atmosphere, without food on the table, rewards muscular wines that shout while ignoring well-crafted wines of subtlety and grace that compliment the table… attributes that define the fine wines of RSV. Fine wine needs to evolve from a distinct point of view – a self-imposed discipline to navigate the siren song of temptation. Otherwise, you may wake up one day to find yourself fabricating a wine to placate a critic or fill a market segment, and discover your craft has devolved into just another recipe for soulless wine. Find out why RSV was named Sunset magazine’s tasting room of the year and the Wine Spectator featured it as a must visit winery in Napa Valley. But don’t take their word for it, come see it for yourself. Great wine is about good food and good people. You will find all that and more at RSV. RSV is dedicated to the agrarian, culinary experience. Sheep graze the vineyards and provide wool, pelts and meat. Edible landscape, extensive culinary gardens and fruit orchards cover the winery grounds and vineyards. Beehives dot the backside of RSV’s Capa Vineyard where they pollinate the orchards and provide honey. RSV has even planted an experimental truffle orchard with English Oaks and Filberts… because elegant, balanced wines should be served with produce and meats from the gardens and/or artisan purveyors and prepared in RSV’s Vineyard Kitchen.

Roberto Pugliese, Giovanni Marzocca, and José Marquez, whose culinary career had taken them all over the world, founded Mezzaluna Italian Restaurant over 25 years ago. Mezzaluna serves southern Italian cuisine with a California twist, using only the finest meats, fish, and fruit, much of which is sourced locally. The restaurant lies 20 miles south of San Francisco, near the center of Silicon Valley, in Princeton by the Sea. PRIVATE EVENTS Thank you for thinking about Mezzaluna Italian Restaurant as a venue for your special event. We provide banquet menus to suit most budgets, preferences, and dietary requirements, as well as a full service bar with an extensive wine list ranging from Europe to Napa Valley. For additional information about all-day events, lunch events, holiday rates, or non-private large-party reservations, please contact us. Petroni Vineyards' creator, Lorenzo Petroni, had managed to persuade the Italian Brunello Consorzio, a group dedicated to preserving the wine's geographical purity, to let him use the name on his Moon Mountain Sangiovese. That narrative, on the other hand, is best conveyed in person. Lorenzo's ambition was to create a California Sangiovese that could compete with the renowned and desired Brunello di Montalcino from Italy's Tuscan region. He left home at the age of 17 with only a handful of dollars in his pocket and a woman's pant suit from his mother, who explained that "after he found a job, he could hire a tailor and look the correct part." He worked hard and saved his money, eventually founding The North Beach Restaurant with a buddy, Bruno Orsi, who would be the restaurant's chef. Lorenzo, an incredibly charismatic and welcoming Italian, quickly earned the title "Mayor of North Beach" and is well known for hosting San Francisco's elite for lunch, heated political debates, and late-night Grappa tastings in the restaurant's basement, which also has the grandfathered-in ability to cure its own prosciutto. He was the first restaurant in the area to set up tables outside, much like he did in his native country.

It's like receiving an unexpected surprise when you visit the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens. This stunning event property, only minutes from downtown Los Angeles and right over the Los Angeles River, will fit many a bride's fantasy wedding destination. The Center is a well-kept secret, concealed behind ivy-covered walls. The entry is marked by a broad, circular brick driveway with a spreading ficus tree in the center, and the first look of the fountains, flowers, and serenity within is through the arched, wrought-iron gate. The courtyard at the entrance is a lovely way to begin your visit to the Center, but the carved wooden doors in the back soon draw you into the Main Courtyard, which is the perfect setting for a special occasion. The arcaded terraces of the Center's buildings surround the multi-level plaza on three sides. The breeze rustles the pepper trees, as roses, agapanthus, and daylilies soak up the sun in the beds. A three-tiered fountain sits in the midst of a tiled reflecting pool, surrounded on all four sides by terra cotta pots filled with flowers. An arched gateway in a stucco wall leads from the Main courtyard to the San Fernando Courtyard, another spacious patio with an adjoining lawn. This patio is dappled in shade and has a calm dignity thanks to a great old ficus tree. The lawn, which is surrounded by tree-lined walls, is frequently utilized for ceremonies, while the patio can be used for meals or dancing. The San Fernando Courtyard is its own private little universe, bordered on one side by the California Building and on the other three by high walls. The California Building is used for indoor events and major meetings. A Mexican-tile floor, arched windows, and a large, peaked roof flood the main event space with natural light. Tables and chairs are arranged beneath the skylight, with additional sitting accessible on the second-story walkway that circles the area. Smaller meetings and conferences can be held in the Los Feliz Room.

Empire Mine State Historic Park is a 856-acre California state park in Grass Valley, situated in the Sierra Nevada foothills approximately 24 miles north of Auburn on Highway 49. The park preserves one of the oldest, deepest, and richest gold mines in California — a site that operated for more than 100 years and yielded 5.8 million ounces of gold before closing in 1956. At the heart of the park stands the historic Bourn Cottage, the former summer residence of the mine's owner, surrounded by restored English-style gardens with fountains, stately trees, and meticulously maintained grounds. The cottage and its gardens serve as the setting for small, intimate wedding ceremonies, accommodating up to 25 guests in an atmosphere of preserved history and natural beauty. The park's event offerings are intentionally minimal to honor its historic character: ceremonies take place outdoors on Fridays and Saturdays from May through early October, with no receptions permitted. In addition to its event space, the park features a visitor center, guided estate and garden tours, and 14 miles of trails open to hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

The 21-acre estate, located in the center of Sonoma's Russian River Valley, offers a stunning view of vineyards as well as a quiet environment that is ideal for any occasion, whether it is for two or 500 people. The DeLoach Vineyards team has been working with and developing the greatest mixes of soil, rootstock and clones in Sonoma's Russian River Valley for more than three decades, and they are proud of their accomplishments. After relocating from Burgundy, France to California's Russian River Valley in 2003, the Boisset family brought two generations of sustainable winemaking expertise with them. They planted vineyards on the estate that had just produced Wine Enthusiast magazine's 2004 wine of the year, DeLoach Vineyards' 30th Anniversary Cuvée Pinot Noir, to the Russian River Valley. While the award-winning vineyards were being replanted with cover crops in order to regenerate the soil, DeLoach teamed with other winegrowers who were equally committed to and passionate about environmentally responsible farming practices and the creation of high-quality wines. The winery was recognized as a Top 100 Winery for the twelfth time in the winery's history by Wine & Spirits magazine, which was published in 2012.
