Guild Row is a place where the creative and civic minded connect. Located in Avondale along the Rockwell Corridor, our facility is designed to accommodate a wide range of events for groups large and small. Built around an open air courtyard, the Guild Row campus features a teaching kitchen, a woodshop, a live fire cooking station, a members lounge with a full café and bar, a co-working space, a small library, and an ultra-flexible dynamic space perfect for gatherings and events of all kinds. Our facility boasts high volume spaces, industrial aesthetics and bespoke hand-hewn details. Each room at Guild Row has a unique personality drawn from its historic past and artisanal capacities. Private bookings include local control of temperature, sound & lighting systems, and overhead doors that connect each interior room to our exterior courtyard. Guild Row started when three people decided to build something together. Beginning in 2016, Mike Healy, Jim Lasko and Elyse Agnello met around Jim's kitchen table on Tuesday nights for nearly two years. They hosted local thinkers, tinkerers, bakers, bankers, entrepreneurs, and makers until they came to see the contours of a unique place where craft and concern for the social good coalesced. Guild Row was born at the intersection of their experience: a building, designed by daam, an architecture and design firm founded by Agnello; filled with programming curated by Lasko who made his name as the director of Chicago's renowned red moon theater, a company committed to wild, participatory spectacles; and woven thoughtfully into a dynamic neighborhood under the guidance of Healy, an award-winning urban planner regarded for his ability to distill complex problems to actionable steps.

Kuma’s Corner OG is a unique Chicago event venue located in the Avondale neighborhood at 2900 W Belmont Ave. Established in 2005, the original Kuma’s Corner is known for its legendary burgers, craft beer, heavy metal atmosphere and unmistakable Chicago personality. Indigo & Violet Studio is a Chicago-based venue for craft workshops, parties, and events, focusing on unique and modern handmade projects taught in a relaxed studio environment. Our mission is to provide a creative outlet to both novice and experienced crafters. We work in a variety of mediums and no matter the project, our goal is for all guests to leave with a new sense of pride along with their beautifully hand-crafted piece. Bar Parisette is an award-winning restaurant and wine bar on a bustling stretch of Logan Square. We love hosting events, including weddings, in our spacious dining room and bar. Our dining room is large enough to accommodate groups of up to 100 in a semi-private capacity, while the two spaces combined can host up to 165 guests. The space is perfectly suited for events that include multiple elements, such as a cocktail hour followed by a seated dinner, and can be set up to include a wedding ceremony, dance floor, or performance. Our packages include bespoke menus from our culinary and bar teams, as well as service staff, furniture, plates, silverware, glasses, and more. The space features exposed brick, floor to ceiling windows, hardwood floors, vintage lighting, and custom tile. Events include use of our state-of-the-art sound system and wireless microphone. In addition to the indoor spaces, guests have access to our charming 400 square foot sidewalk patio. We also can provide a spacious private area for the bride and family with private bathroom access.

Bookclub is a multi-floor venue experience featuring Club Soda, a Hard Seltzer Bar on the ground floor and a beautiful stage downstairs. Events happening in the basement are broadcast to a 10ft LED screen in Club Soda on what we call the Digital Balcony.

Chicago Theater Works is available for rental and is the perfect venue for a unique event. We love parties, fundraisers, film screenings, wedding receptions, corporate off-site and more… Our facility can accommodate up to 180 for a sit-down dinner, play, recital, screening… to 200+ for a stand-up reception. ​ Furnishings: We have 220 black banquet chairs, six 24” rounds, twenty 48” rounds, six 60” rounds, a buffet table and several 6’ tables and two high-tops. We also have six sections of 12’ pipe with black drape. ​ Food and Beverage: Northshore Catering is our in-house caterer and they are amazing. You are welcome to work with them or bring in your own food. For catering we have a staging kitchen with 3-compartment sink, commercial refrigerator, ice maker, convection oven, microwave and stainless prep table. There is an extra charge for using the kitchen. We require that all beverage be purchased through our full bar. Our prices range from $3 for soft drinks, $6 to 8 for beer, $7 to 9 for spirits and $6 to 9 for wine. We can do a host bar or cash or credit for guests. Sound, Lights, Stage and Tech: The space features a 16’ x 10’ stage with a simple light plot, board and spotlight. We have video projection capabilities and a wide format screen. We also have several wired and wireless microphones and a plug in play sound system. The venue also has wifi. Depending on the extent of your tech needs there may be an extra charge to have our tech person on-site. Location: We are located in Lakeview on Belmont between Sheffield and Racine. We are two blocks east of the Red, Brown and Purple lines. We are also on multiple 27/7 bus routes. A nearby parking lot is available for an extra charge. The venue has two large bathrooms and two private, unisex bathrooms. There is also a dressing room with iron, steamer, washer and dryer. We always have a staff member and, if needed, bartender available for your event.

Forbidden Root, the first botanical brewery in Chicago, was founded as a passionately personal project by Robert Finkel after leaving the world of high-stakes entrepreneurship. His idea to create a true-brewed root beer quickly grew to encompass the broader idea of botanic beers. On February 18, 2016, our restaurant and brewery opened in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood. More than just a brewpub, we offer fresh and seasonal dishes that highlight our craft beers and elevate the overall dining experience. In addition to our passion for beer and food, Forbidden Root is passionate about giving back.
