View Arts Center is a Silver LEED-certified arts facility in Old Forge, New York, in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Its 28,000-square-foot building, opened in 2011, features two-story gallery spaces with hardwood flooring, a timber-framed reception area, and a covered outdoor courtyard surrounded by Adirondack woodlands. The center has served the Central Adirondack community since 1951 and now hosts private events alongside its year-round exhibitions, performances, and classes. For weddings and celebrations, Gould Hall accommodates up to 180 guests for a seated dinner or 400 for a standing reception. The outdoor Courtyard and Woodlands, covered by a 40-by-60-foot tent, holds up to 200 guests and offers views of the surrounding landscape. Built as a summer resort and inn, the property has since been updated for modern living while preserving its historic character. Multi-level cascading decks frame an unobstructed view of the falls, and the grounds encompass natural pools, gardens, and trails. The house accommodates guests across five bedrooms and four bathrooms, with a fully equipped kitchen, hot tub, and BBQ. A payment of $15,000 is required to reserve Planting Fields for your private event, and the host is entitled to one year of Sustaining Member perks. Wedding ceremonies call for a $5,000 donation, which entitles the host to one year of Family Member perks. New York Marble Cemetery is a historic half-acre walled garden tucked into the interior of a city block in Manhattan's East Village, accessible through iron gates at 41½ Second Avenue via a 100-foot private alley. Founded in 1830 as the oldest public non-denominational cemetery in New York City, the grounds are enclosed by 12-foot Tuckahoe marble walls and contain 156 underground burial vaults. The site holds dual designations as a New York City Landmark and a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery accommodates private events of up to 120 guests on a center lawn spanning roughly 30 by 150 feet. The range of events hosted includes weddings, fundraisers, fashion shows, corporate gatherings, film and television productions, poetry readings, and art shows. Catering, food, BBQ, and alcohol are permitted on the grounds. Quiet music is welcome at or below 60 decibels; dancing, loud music, and Halloween-themed events are not permitted. The venue does not supply bathrooms, electricity, or garbage services, and renters are required to carry $2 million in private event insurance.
