At The Surf Room in Long Beach, we specialize in creating the perfect atmosphere for life’s most meaningful celebrations. Since opening in 2010, we’ve proudly hosted weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and more — each one customized to fit the client’s vision. With two stunning event spaces, the Surf Room and the Ball Room, we can accommodate up to 250 guests and tailor every detail to your needs. Each rental includes a 4-hour private event block, cleaning, and security. Tables and chairs are provided, with options to add linens, bartenders, valet service, and BYOB packages. Catering begins at $40 per person, featuring delicious menu options prepared by our professional chefs, along with table settings, linens, and service staff. Guests may also choose to bring sealed bottles under our BYOB option, served by a licensed bartender. The Surf Room is fully equipped with three 4K projectors, a professional sound and lighting system, and microphone setups, making it ideal for both elegant receptions and presentations. We also provide on-site parking, free street parking, and a private lot available by agreement. Décor is flexible — confetti, floral arrangements, and custom setups are welcome, though open flames and wall adhesives are restricted for safety. A dedicated venue coordinator assists with planning, vendor coordination, and day-of logistics to ensure your event runs seamlessly from start to finish. A $500 non-refundable deposit secures your date, with full payment due three weeks prior. Cancellations or date changes should be made three months in advance, though flexibility may be offered based on agreement. Additional hours can be added for an hourly fee. Our high-end space has 6 different spaces including a large great room, library, wellness room, apothecary, kitchen and outdoor courtyard. We are also right across the street from a beautifully designed park. Our space is perfect for corporate off-sites with a large presentation and meeting room and full LED flat panel. We only rent for full days (not by the hour), you can rent one studio for $5,000 or the entire space for $8,000 for up to 12 hours. This includes a studio and kitchen manager but does not include catering. Should you require catering or have more than 100 people, rental of the entire space is mandatory. As part of The 203 Project: A Sustainable Showhouse at the DCA, our rooms have been newly decorated by professional interior designers, fully air-conditioned and all look out into the garden. The property has a sweeping front lawn that is fabulous for family and bridal party photos, and a secret garden is perfect for the first look. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Meadowlands at the DCA is a 15,000 square foot, Regency-style estate on over eight acres of property. The facilities include a spacious Garden Wing with attached commercial kitchen, boardroom and intimate library, and rooms which look out to its formal garden. The property also includes a working Lord & Burnham greenhouse (original to the estate), and a four-acre bird sanctuary and nature trail.
