The Columns have been a part of New Orleans for such a long period of time that they have become a monument in its own right. When everyone knows the name of the place, you don't have to say the address. The Columns, which overlook St. Charles Avenue, with its magnificent magnolia trees and streetcar line, is a short walk from the other historic houses in the region and is a great place to relax. We've meticulously repaired the ancient structure and built a whole new garden, rooftop sundeck, and cocktail bar to complement it. With a careful and sophisticated repair, we were able to breathe new life into our public areas as well. Cypress Grove Wedding Venue is a special place for us, and we're thrilled to share it with you! My name is Ted, and the name of my wife's is Joy. We are young empty nesters who have returned to our hometown and purchased this property in 2016 after having lived away for many years. We have two children and two grandchildren. We live on the property next to the venue and enjoy being on site because it allows us to meet so many beautiful couples as they go through the process of arranging their special wedding weekend. We have a dog and a cat, and we enjoy spending time with them. We have two daughters who are both married and have recently welcomed three adorable boys into the family, making us the proud grandparents of three little boys! Last but not least, don't forget about our newest member of the Cypress Grove family, our adorable Labradoodle Jolie! The venue is a historic general store that was built in 1886 and relocated to its current location in the 1990s. As a general shop, it was well-known for being one of the last locations that Bonnie and Clyde attempted to rob in 1934, when it was still in operation. The store has been transformed into a celebration venue, complete with a lovely verdant open field and a slab for the wedding ceremony. Moreover, in the event that it rains, this historic wedding venue has a one-of-a-kind backup plan. As you step through the old french doors, you are greeted by a spacious covered porch with cypress benches that run the length of the porch. This room is great, and it also serves as a wonderful covered reception area for any event. The atmosphere you will experience here is a classic rustic ambience in a historical setting, yet it has been upgraded with modern amenities like as a large central air system and wi-fi throughout the property. The interior is decorated in a light palette with white vintage shiplap, wood ceilings and floors, antique wooden carbels, original 1800's counters that are perfect for serving meals, and much more! All of these factors combine to make Cypress Grove a top-rated wedding venue and a popular choice among brides.

Many couples have fantasized about having a destination wedding on the beaches of Jamaica, in the castles of Europe, in the Cinderella Castle at Disneyworld, or in some other exotic location, only to discover that it was simply not feasible or cost-effective to go through with it. Alternatively, they discover that many of the people they had hoped to have with them on their big day will be unable to come. Those who are planning a destination wedding should consider Louisiana Castle as the venue where their dreams can come true! Louisiana Castle is the ideal setting for couples who want to have the wedding of their dreams without the hassle and expense of traveling to a different site. Even couples who live within driving distance of the Louisiana Castle have commented on how a wedding at The Castle appears to be a destination wedding without the price and trouble of traveling to a far-off venue to tie the knot. Being close to New Orleans is quite helpful for our more distant couples, who may need to fly in for their wedding. Everyone knows that New Orleans is a great place to have a good time. There are a variety of reasons why so many couples choose the Louisiana Castle as the location for their wedding reception. The Louisiana Castle is a recreation of an English Norman Keep Castle set on 10 acres just north of New Orleans, and we specialize in outdoor wedding celebrations. After seeing our stunning outdoor ceremony site, which is located on our pond-side stage in front of the Castle, many of our brides and grooms from all over the country decide that this is the location they want for their wedding. Furthermore, Louisiana Castle can accommodate up to 350 visitors at any given time of day or night! The inside of the Castle is as bit as distinctive as its outward design. The Juliet Suite, which measures 1200 square feet and has a balcony that overlooks the ceremony venue, is located on the top floor of the Castle. In the Juliet Suite, the bride and her attendants can prepare for the wedding while also spending the night before the wedding with their significant other. When the couples spend the night at the Castle, they have access to the full Castle and its grounds for the duration of the evening. An outdoor screened-in deck with a Jacuzzi tub can be found on the property. Spending the night before the wedding at the Castle is the best way to cap off a great day.

Le Musée, the Greek Revival residence at 2336 Esplanade Avenue, and its vicinity, centered in the area known as upper Treme, were originally part of the plantation of Domingo Fleitas. Fleitas, a Spanish colonial who had fought with Galvez in the American Revolution, had grandchildren born free people of color. This stretch of Esplanade Avenue, mid-way between the Mississippi River and Bayou St. John, was not developed until the 1850s when Benjamin Rodriguez, a Jewish speculator who also owned the Esplanade omnibus, began acquiring lots in the area. Rodriguez first built his home at 2306 Esplanade, where the Musson family later lived for a period of time and their cousin Edgar Degas, the acclaimed French artist, visited. In 1859, Rodriguez contracted with Joseph Jouet, the same builder who constructed the famed French Hospital, to build the house at 2336. Though this residence was never owned by persons of color until its present ones, because of their dominance in the building trades, it can be assumed that they participated in the construction. Esplanade Avenue has always been noted for its gracious homes and abundant greenery. Little known is that free people of color owned numerous properties along the avenue and its intersecting streets in the antebellum period

Arlington Mansion is a three-story Greek Revival estate believed to have been built in the 1830s by Euphroisie Carlin on a Spanish land grant in Franklin, Louisiana. The property sits on seven acres along the banks of Bayou Teche, surrounded by intricately landscaped English gardens filled with mature Magnolias, century-old Oaks, and ancient Cypress trees. The mansion's fluted Composite Order columns, crystal and bronze chandeliers, and period antiques reflect a history that spans a Civil War infirmary, a country club, and decades of careful restoration — including a major renovation of the grounds and interiors begun in 2016. The estate accommodates up to 100 guests and offers exclusive use of the mansion, Carriage House, and grounds for weddings and private events. Couples and guests arrive to a setting where five hours of ceremony and reception time unfolds across gardens, a concrete dance floor, and candlelit interior rooms. The venue also provides overnight accommodations for honeymoon stays, bridal party gatherings, and corporate retreats, with bayou-front views as a backdrop.
