We found a perfect cozy space at the end of an unused alley off the Bowery in the fall of 2004, and Freemans Restaurant was born. The restaurant's concept was to create a rough, secretive colonial American tavern. Early Americans imagined the cuisine to be simple, rustic, and inspired by Old World traditions. We've held everything from weddings and birthday parties to movie premieres, luncheons, wrap parties, bridal showers, and business dinners over the years. For seated dinner parties or cocktail celebrations, Freemans has three private rooms available. The entire second floor, including the drawing room, or the entire restaurant, can be rented for groups of 30 to 200 people. Our intimate working wine cellar provides an exceptional eating environment. In your own private wine cellar, seats 10-12 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner. In an elegant 2nd floor dining room, the Blue Room seats 13-20 guests for a sit-down lunch or dinner, or up to 30 guests for a cocktail reception. Catskill View Weddings & Events occupies Thor Icelandics, LLC., a working Icelandic horse farm in Claverack, New York — in the heart of Columbia County's Hudson Valley, two hours north of New York City and ten minutes from the city of Hudson. The farm is home to more than 50 Icelandic horses and is recognized as the only Icelandic horse farm in North America that operates as a wedding and event venue. Three distinct outdoor spaces — The Hill, the Upper Track, and the Lower Track — each accommodate up to 300 guests. The Hill commands a full 360-degree, unobstructed view of the Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountain range, with the sun setting directly over the mountains to the west; it is the venue's signature setting. The Upper Track, nestled in the heart of the farm and enclosed by woods on most sides, offers a more private atmosphere with exceptional acoustics. Zugibe Vineyards is a family-owned winery set on the northeastern shore of Seneca Lake in Geneva, New York, where the vineyard's hillside overlooks the water and the surrounding grounds. The Zugibe family planted their first vines in 2005 on some of the region's most premium soil, expanding to forty acres and eleven grape varieties that today include Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Grüner Veltliner. The tasting room opened in 2009 and is anchored by a distinctive black walnut bar crafted from wood harvested on the property. A multi-generational operation led by winemaker Frederick T. Zugibe III and vineyard manager Sean Zugibe, the winery has built its "Wine With A View" identity around the sweeping sunset views for which it is known. For weddings and private events, the vineyard offers an open white tent that seats up to 150 guests, set among farm tables, bistro lights, and views across the vineyard to Seneca Lake.
