The Basque Country is a mountainous region that spans the border between France and Spain and is home to a culture that dates back hundreds of years and a cuisine that has been passed down through generations. Even Patricia Wells referred to it as "one of the few locations in France that possesses spice" when she wrote about it. Piperade, which was opened in downtown San Francisco in 2002 by Chef Gerald Hirigoyen and his wife Cameron, is responsible for bringing these traditional flavors to the area. The proprietors of the establishment call the cuisine served there "West Coast Basque Cuisine," and they say it bridges the gap between French, Spanish, and Basque culinary traditions by emphasizing the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients in each of those cuisines. The restaurant Piperade, which was given its name after the traditional Basque dish consisting of simmering peppers, tomatoes, and garlic and topped with slices of ham and an egg that had been poached, serves delectable dishes in an intimate setting that is ideal for date nights, business meetings, or gatherings with family and friends. It is our pleasure to introduce you to the Lauburu Room! The space, which gets its name from the traditional Basque cross that stands for Spirit and Life, offers a one-of-a-kind and completely private environment for gatherings of up to 36 people for seated events and up to 45 guests for receptions that are standing only. At Lauburu, you can enjoy a lively atmosphere for any occasion, from an informal luncheon to an elegant cocktail soirée to a formal dinner served at a table: Lauburu offers a variety of menu options that can be customized to the specific preferences of your group, along with wine pairings and individualized service.

We first opened our doors on Valentine's Day, 2011, and throughout the last decade, we've become a fixture in the Theater District, TL, and Nob Hill communities. We have a genuinely unforgettable event space. With three magnificent bars, a lush, 8,000 square ft. rooftop patio, and adequate room for gatherings, we are a jack of all trades for your next event. Our stylish and unique rooftop terrace, which is the largest outdoor restaurant location in San Francisco, is absolutely one-of-a-kind, making us the ideal place for large functions. H.C. Baumann, a prominent architect, created the Gaylord Hotel in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, inspired by the structures of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition in San Diego. Founder Pete Glikshtern collaborated with architect Kyle Reicher of Ferrous Studios Inc. to reinterpret the classic wrought iron grilles from the Gaylord's lobby to integrate parts of the historic building's architecture into our area. From the huge front gates that welcome guests in, to the patio guard rails, to the ornate metal wall between the stairs and the dining room, our steel is an homage to the rich architectural history of our building. 620 Jones has had the privilege of working with many local community legends, including London Breed, Juanita More, Joe Montana and Steve Kerr. We have also hosted events for Salesforce, Honda, Legends of the NFL, SFPD, Facebook, Oracle, and so many more.

In November 2015, we inaugurated our brick-and-mortar restaurant, which serves the same naturally-leavened, wood-fired pizza that we have been obsessing over since 2012, as well as market-driven antipasti and a carefully curated list of wine and beer selections. Our pizza truck is still on the streets of San Francisco, and we are happy to offer you the option of eating your pizza in a chair if you would prefer not to stand up. With a glass of wine, of course. Come and spend some time with us! Fort Point Historic Campus on the Bay occupies a cluster of historic Coast Guard buildings on the northeastern shore of the Presidio, at the mouth of San Francisco Bay. The campus — formerly the Fort Point Life Saving Station — dates to 1890 and includes the Officer in Charge Quarters, the Lifeboat Station (1915), and the Pier & Tide Gauge Station (1935). Today it is managed by the Greater Farallones Association under a long-term agreement with the National Park Service within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The campus offers unobstructed views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the Marin Headlands, and the San Francisco skyline, providing a distinctive backdrop for events of many kinds. Two distinct settings are available for rental: the Pier House, which sits over the water on a 360-foot dock and accommodates intimate gatherings of up to 40 guests; and the Grounds and Paved Lots, spanning over 5,000 square feet of open-air space suited to weddings and receptions, corporate events, festivals, film shoots, and commercial photography. The venue has hosted engagements, birthday celebrations, business meetings, and community events within reach of Crissy Field Beach. Its setting within a working marine sanctuary makes it a distinctive choice for groups drawn to the Bay's natural and historic character.
