Spring Lake Road and Deerfield Drive, where the 5000 sq. ft. project is located, are bordered by magnificent rose gardens and are situated in a parklike setting of native Texas trees and foliage, which creates a parklike atmosphere for visitors. Our venue is a 6000 square foot custom-built barn that harkens back to the days of the large red barns. Our goal is to create the ideal environment.... one in which "Country and Class Collide." A reception-style event can hold 200-250 people, depending on the layout and other factors. A bridal suite is located upstairs, as well as a catering kitchen that has an ice machine, warming cabinet, professional refrigerator, and microwave. Owners Kent and Mitzi Bruton, a longtime area farmer and teacher, spent about two years building most of the venue themselves before it hosted its first wedding in July 2013. The property incorporates reclaimed materials gathered from the original New Home Cotton Gin, abandoned barns and farmhouses, and fences from around the community, along with vintage signage collected over the years. The venue's Main Barn, built from rusted tin and reclaimed fence wood, holds up to around 300 guests and serves as the setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions, along with birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, and other events. The Olde Grain Barn, the property's first addition, dates to 1951 and seats up to 150 guests for a ceremony; it doubles as a rain backup space and a spot for rehearsal dinners on its adjoining patio.
