The restaurant built its name on Old-World Italian recipes, fresh seafood, and grilled steaks, and has remained one of the most popular Italian-American dining destinations in the Buffalo area for more than six decades. The banquet facility accommodates a broad range of private events — including wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, shower luncheons, sports banquets, and memorial services. In-house catering and event coordination are available, with a dedicated banquet team accessible daily from 10 AM. Off-site catering, including pickup and drop-off options, is also offered for events beyond the main location. Founded on January 22, 1885, the Genesee Valley Club is one of Rochester's oldest private social clubs, established by ninety-one civic and business leaders at a time when the city stood at the center of American industry and culture. The club has maintained its home on East Avenue for well over a century, and today holds recognized standing among America's premier private clubs. Ten event spaces across the property accommodate groups from as few as six to standing receptions of 500. The Seneca, Heritage, Erie Canal, East Avenue, and Genesee River rooms provide intimate settings for meetings and private gatherings of 6 to 40. The Founders' Room, Kearns Room, and Main Lounge step up to 60–100 guests, and the Main Dining Room hosts seated dinners of up to 250. Set in the farm country of southwestern Vermont, 1768 Hubbell Homestead at Colgate Park has been passed down through nine generations of Hubbell descendants and is owned and operated today by a direct descendant of James Colby Colgate. The property once played a small part in the American Revolutionary War and now overlooks the Bennington Battle Monument, with sweeping views of the Green Mountains framing the grounds. Weddings and private events take place under a large 60-by-90-foot tent with a cathedral ceiling, full windowed sidewalls, and a lighting package of pole-mounted canister lights and perimeter floor lighting, connected by stone walkways to a post-and-beam country amenities barn. The barn offers a receiving area, restrooms, and a wraparound porch furnished with rocking chairs overlooking the mountains and monument, while a patio just off the tent extends the celebration outdoors for cocktails and photos. Rentals include 150 ceremony chairs, 200 reception chairs, tables for 200 guests, a dance floor, farm tables, and a fully equipped catering kitchen, along with two nights of accommodations in the Hubbell Barn and onsite event supervision throughout the celebration.
