Stevenson Ridge is an 87-acre historical property in rural Spotsylvania County that serves as a premier special events venue as well as a lodging facility with restored antique structures. The Inn is comprised of nine private cottages dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, ranging in size from one to two bedrooms. Our premier event facility, The Lodge, is 12,000 square feet and is the centerpiece of Stevenson Ridge's event space offerings. Whether you're looking for the ideal location for your wedding, holiday party, or corporate event, we have what you need... Stevenson Ridge offers a one-of-a-kind venue that will meet all of your event requirements! The mountains of Shenandoah National Park are our neighbors, and we are also fortunate enough to have the Shenandoah River bordering our property. Several attractions outside of the National Park are available in Page County, which is also known as the "cabin capital of Virginia," so finding lodging is rarely a problem. River Road is a family-owned farm that has been in the Painter family for several generations. When Cody and Jessica announced their engagement, they knew they wanted to include their family farm in their wedding celebrations. It had taken several long weeks of renovations, but they were finally able to enjoy having their family and friends come together for the event. A perfect September day provided the setting for their ceremony along the south fork of the Shenandoah River, followed by a reception in the big red barn at the venue. After that day, it was clear that this beautiful property should be enjoyed by more people than just the family who had purchased it.   James Monroe's Highland is the historic Albemarle County home of the fifth U.S. President, set in the Virginia hills near Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's estate. Construction on the property began in 1797, and the main house Monroe and his family occupied was completed in 1799; an 1818 guesthouse still stands today. Now owned and operated by the College of William & Mary, Monroe's alma mater, Highland operates as a museum dedicated to sharing the full history of the site, including the stories of the enslaved men, women, and children who lived and worked there.   Busboys and Poets is a restaurant, bar, bookstore, and community gathering place founded in 2005 by artist, activist, and restaurateur Andy Shallal. The Shirlington location, in Arlington, Virginia, carries forward that mission as a space for art, culture, and politics to intentionally collide, hosting weekly open mic nights and other community programming alongside its full-service restaurant and bookstore. For private events, the location offers two dedicated spaces, the Robeson Room and Paul's Den, each equipped with a projection screen and sound system for readings, performances, meetings, and celebrations.   Set along a quiet stretch of Tabbs Creek on Virginia's Chesapeake Bay in Mathews County, The Inn at Tabbs Creek is a waterfront bed and breakfast built in the 1880s by a local shipbuilder. Innkeepers Sherry and Ridge Crewss, who took over the property in May 2024, continue a tradition of coastal hospitality that blends the building's historic character with updated amenities. The Inn operates as an adults-only retreat, with seven guest rooms and suites, a chlorine-free heated pool, a private dock, and kayak, canoe, and paddleboard access directly on the creek.
